Dr. Duong Ngoc Van, Medlatec General Hospital replied:

The phenomenon of undescended testicles in children is quite rare, so we often have a subjective mentality and almost do not grasp the characteristics and signs of recognition. In fact, there are many signs that help parents detect whether their children have undescended testicles or not.

When undescended testicles occur in children, we will usually see underdeveloped scrotum. Undescended testicles can occur on one side or both sides at the same time.

In addition, undescended testicles often cause tumors to form in the inguinal canal and affect the baby's health. If the above signs are detected, parents should proactively take their child to the doctor for monitoring and the most accurate conclusion.

This condition needs to be detected and treated before the boy turns 1 year old. This is the golden time to completely treat the undescended testicle condition, while not affecting future reproductive health and the risk of infertility.

If the undescended testicles are detected when a boy enters puberty, the possibility of a cure is very low, at which point the man's reproductive health will certainly be negatively affected.
