Pham Van Bach Street is still a 'bottleneck' after more than 20 years

Started in 2005, the Pham Van Bach Street expansion project has yet to reach its completion due to land issues. Tan Binh District is currently mobilizing local residents to complete the road near the gateway to Tan Son Nhat Airport.

According to Tan Binh District People's Committee, the Pham Van Bach Street expansion project is being carried out under the "state and people working together" method, in which people donate 50% of the compensation value and land support.

However, due to the impact on many households, compensation and site clearance encountered many difficulties and took a long time.

Up to now, in Tan Binh district, 629/702 cases have agreed to receive compensation, branch 1 (Tan Son street) has been completed and put into operation. For branch 2 (Pham Van Bach street), 73/581 cases have not received compensation, of which 55 cases have not agreed due to problems with project boundaries and unit prices related to the previous method.

Tan Binh District People's Committee is continuing to mobilize people, and at the same time, petitioning the Project Management Board for Investment and Construction of Traffic Works, and submitting to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport and Public Works to adjust the project schedule.

Officials and civil servants outside the military and police can participate in peacekeeping.

At the 43rd session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions on the draft Law on Participation in United Nations Peacekeeping Forces.

The subjects of application of the draft law include: officers, professional soldiers, defense workers and civil servants, non-commissioned officers, soldiers and units under the Ministry of National Defense; professional and technical officers, non-commissioned officers, police workers, soldiers and units under the Ministry of Public Security assigned to participate in peacekeeping forces; State officials, civil servants and public employees assigned to participate in peacekeeping forces...

Notably, the draft law states that subjects participating in UN peacekeeping activities are selected from agencies and units under the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and departments, ministries, branches, and localities.

The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security prescribe the conditions and selection criteria for the forces under their authority, meeting the requirements of the United Nations for each unit and selection position.

Ministry of Health proposes amending regulations to tighten 'underground' cosmetic surgery

The Ministry of Health has just sent a document to the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Ngai province regarding the response to the petition of voters of the province after the 8th session of the 15th National Assembly.

According to voters, currently cosmetic services that do not use injectable anesthetics (spraying, tattooing, etc.) do not require a license to operate, leading to difficulties in management, inspection, and examination. Voters recommend that the Ministry of Health submit to the Government amendments and supplements to Decree 96/2023/ND-CP detailing a number of articles of the Law on Medical Examination and Treatment.

According to the Ministry of Health, currently, in addition to licensed cosmetic establishments, there are still many unlicensed cosmetic establishments, disguised as beauty salons, skin care establishments, hair salons, spas, etc. The staff working for these establishments are not professionally trained but still perform techniques such as filler injections, botox, etc., leading to serious consequences and complications for many cases.

The Ministry of Health will accept voters' opinions and will review and report to the Government to propose amendments and supplements to Decree 96/2023/ND-CP to strengthen management, inspection and examination of cosmetic service establishments.
