Through 250 Savings and Loan Groups and 16 Transaction Points in communes and towns, in recent times, the Government's preferential credit policy capital for poor households, near-poor households, newly escaped poverty households and other policy beneficiaries has been effective in An Duong district, contributing significantly to the implementation of the poverty reduction and new rural construction goals in the area.

Previously, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai's family in Le Loi commune, An Duong district was considered a poor household. In 2020, with a loan of 50 million VND from the An Duong District Social Policy Bank, Mr. Hai boldly bought 100 more peach trees to expand production. Thanks to his diligence in researching and learning from experience, Mr. Hai's family now has more than 300 peach trees, earning hundreds of millions of VND each year, and their lives have gradually improved, helping them escape poverty sustainably.
Like Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Mr. Nguyen Van Chinh, also in Le Loi commune, An Duong district, shared: In the past, being poor and lacking capital for production made it difficult to do anything. Fortunately, the district's Social Policy Bank supported me with a loan, allowing me to invest in opening a farm to raise deer, porcupines, chickens, tilapia... and escape poverty, rise up to do business on par with my peers, my wife and children are all very happy. I plan to expand my farming to include frogs, deer and chickens in the near future to increase my family's income. I hope the Social Policy Bank will create conditions for my family to borrow capital to create larger jobs, at least 200 to 300 million VND to maintain my farming as well as create regular jobs for 2 to 3 workers.

It is known that in the past time, in order to improve the efficiency of policy credit capital, the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of An Duong district has proactively advised the District Representative Board to regularly direct socio-political organizations receiving entrustment, Savings Groups and Credit Unions to properly implement policies and regimes according to regulations within the scope of activities of the entrustment contract and signed authorization contract. The People's Committees of communes and towns have directed the good implementation of preferential credit programs for new loans and revolving capital to ensure the right beneficiaries, and the capital is used for the right purpose and effectively.
Mr. Dinh Quang Hung, Director of the Transaction Office of the Social Policy Bank of An Duong District, said: By the end of the first quarter of 2024, the total outstanding balance of credit policy capital in An Duong District had an outstanding balance of over 430 billion VND, serving over 11,000 customers. In the coming time, the unit will continue to coordinate with local authorities to review and evaluate specific cases of unemployment and job loss to continue lending under the job creation program, creating jobs to increase livelihoods for people.
Currently, the average outstanding debt of a Savings and Credit Group is over 1.7 billion VND; the average outstanding debt of 3 programs for poor households, near-poor households, and poverty reduction is 53 million VND/customer; the average outstanding debt of the job creation loan program is 66.5 million VND/customer; the average outstanding debt of the clean water and rural sanitation program is 17.5 million VND/customer. Thus, through practice, it shows that policy credit capital has practically contributed to the poverty reduction program, new rural construction, and ensuring social security in An Duong district.
