Joining the Hong Mountain team from the beginning of the 2023 season, Van Duc was immediately trusted by coach Nguyen Thanh Cong to play as a starting left midfielder. Every time he played, he played with energy and enthusiasm, becoming an irreplaceable position.

Bui Van Duc can also play multi-functionally, playing as a left winger, left back and when needed, as a center back. He is both effective in defense and sharp in attack. With his abundant physical strength, Van Duc is nicknamed “the running machine”.

In the 2021 season, Van Duc moved to play for Ho Chi Minh City Club with a contract lasting up to 5 years. Here, he did not have many opportunities to play, so at the end of December 2022, Bui Van Duc decided to leave Ho Chi Minh City Club to join HLHT.
