After days of intensive training, the Vietnamese team entered their first friendly match in Korea against Ulsan Citizen. The opponent ranked 12th in K.League 3, in line with the coaching staff's goal of testing their skills.

The Korean representative fielded players considered to be their best. Meanwhile, the Vietnamese team experimented with many positions. Hoang Duc paired up with Doan Ngoc Tan in midfield. Mr. Kim Sang-sik trusted Duy Manh and Thanh Binh in defense. Dinh Trieu was given the starting position after a series of good performances at the club. Bui Vi Hao played in attack with Tien Linh.

In the early stages of the match, the Vietnamese team faced difficulties when their opponents were tall, aggressive in their tackles, and physically fit. However, after 20 minutes of play, the Vietnamese team gradually got into the rhythm of the game. More dangerous opportunities appeared.

In the 40th minute, taking advantage of a gap in the opponent's defense, Nguyen Tien Linh accurately scored to open the score for the Vietnamese team. Ulsan Citizen tried but could not equalize in the remaining time of the first half.

In the second half, coach Kim Sang-sik only kept a few positions and adjusted the personnel. The Vietnamese team played well and did not lose the game to the opponent. Overall, the midfielders fought well and made it difficult for Ulsan Citizen to attack.

In the 80th minute, Pham Tuan Hai scored the second goal. The Vietnamese team changed tactics at the end of the match and ended up with a 2-0 victory.
