At the conference, delegates heard about the significance of the voluntary blood donation movement, the results of the voluntary blood donation campaign in Tien Giang province in 2022 and the first 6 months of 2023; and the sharing of collectives and individuals in implementing the humanitarian blood donation movement.
Accordingly, in 2022, Tien Giang donated 9,713 units of blood, including 6,643 units of 350 ml. In the first 6 months of 2023, 18 blood collections were organized with 2,864 units of 350 ml.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dieu - Vice Chairman of Tien Giang Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the humanistic value of voluntary blood donation activities. The collectives and individuals honored today are people with kind hearts, sharing blood to save people...
The Vice Chairman of the province requested that all levels and sectors always pay attention to and create favorable conditions to mobilize cadres, civil servants and public employees to participate in humanitarian blood donation, considering this a charitable activity, contributing to social security and calling on people, businesses, organizations and individuals to be ready to participate in voluntary blood donation activities.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded 4 commemorative medals, 9 certificates of merit from the Central Red Cross Society (1 family and 8 individuals), 79 certificates of merit from the Provincial People's Committee (21 groups, 58 individuals); 52 certificates of merit from the Provincial Association (28 groups, 24 individuals).
