On the morning of November 15, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Standing Member of the Central Military Commission, Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army attended the National Great Unity Day in his hometown in Ha Vinh village, Thanh Quang commune.
Also attending were: Lieutenant General Nguyen Quang Ngoc, member of the Party Central Committee, Commander of Military Region 3; Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee and representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Office of the General Department of Politics, the Department of Military Security Protection, the Department of Policy, the Department of Mass Mobilization, the Northeast Corporation (Ministry of National Defense), and leaders of a number of departments and branches of Hai Duong province.
In the warm atmosphere of the National Great Unity Day in Ha Vinh village, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet expressed his joy and emotion, and kindly visited the people in the village and commune.

Hai Duong has a growth rate of 11th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide, and 4th out of 11 localities in the Red River Delta. People's lives are increasingly improved, national defense and security are ensured. Many localities have achieved advanced new rural standards, model new rural areas, including Thanh Ha district. Ha Vinh village has 98% of families achieving cultural titles. People's lives in the village are increasingly improved. Village and neighborhood relationships are increasingly strong.
The General emphasized that in the country's overall achievements, the Vietnam People's Army has always performed well its functions as a fighting army, a working army, and a production labor army. Since the beginning of the year, the army has mobilized over 1,950 billion VND to carry out policy work, build and donate more than 15,000 gratitude houses, "great solidarity" houses, and comrade houses, receive support for 678 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, and contribute 400 billion VND to respond to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses launched by the Government. By the end of 2025, the army is striving to support the construction of over 24,000 houses. That demonstrates the army's determination and high responsibility towards the people.
During the recent storm No. 3, the army mobilized nearly 458,000 officers and soldiers and over 10,000 vehicles to help people prevent and overcome the consequences of storm No. 3 and the storm's aftermath.
Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet believes that with the solidarity and unanimity of the people of Ha Vinh village and Thanh Ha people, they will continue to overcome all difficulties and challenges and achieve even greater achievements. They will continue to promote good traditional values, contributing to building a sustainable and prosperous Vietnam.
He hoped that the Party Committee, the government, the Fatherland Front Committee, agencies and organizations of the province would regularly stay close to the grassroots, listen to and promptly resolve the legitimate aspirations and wishes of the people, taking the people as the center and subject of all policies and strategies. Organize patriotic emulation movements well, encourage and motivate advanced models, outstanding collectives and individuals, thereby creating new momentum for emulation.
Ha Vinh village has 527 households with 1,590 people. The village has the strength of growing fruit trees, especially early lychee trees. In 2024, the villagers voluntarily donated over 1,000 m2 of land to expand the traffic route. The cadres and people in the village are always united and united to perform well all assigned tasks.
At the festival, leaders of the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, the Military Region 3 Command, the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee and the Dong Bac Corporation presented 213 gifts, each worth 3 million VND, to encourage policy families, poor households and households in difficult circumstances in Thanh Quang commune.
Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet (born in 1966) lives in Ha Vinh village, Thanh Quang commune (Thanh Ha, Hai Duong). In 2016, he was promoted to the rank of Major General, and in 2020 to the rank of Lieutenant General. In 2021, he was appointed by the Prime Minister to the position of Deputy Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. In 2023, he was promoted to the rank of Senior Lieutenant General. In June 2024, he was appointed by the President to the position of Director of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army. In August 2024, Senior Lieutenant General Trinh Van Quyet was elected by the 13th Party Central Committee as a member of the Secretariat.
