The Provincial Party Standing Committee received and worked with the delegation of Vietnam Electricity Group.

On the morning of June 7, the Provincial Party Standing Committee worked with the working delegation of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN) on load adjustment and power source development.

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council spoke at the meeting.

On the EVN delegation side, there were comrades: Nguyen Xuan Nam, Deputy General Director of Vietnam Electricity Group; Do Van Nam, Member of the Board of Members, Northern Power Corporation and leaders of Thai Binh Power Company.

At the meeting, EVN representatives thanked the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee for taking the time to work with the delegation; informed about the load situation and the power supply capacity of the electricity sector nationwide, the difficult situation of hydropower plants that forced them to take turns cutting off power. In Thai Binh, the Northern Power Corporation also had to control the load, from May 17 to June 5, the total output reduced and saved nearly 18,000 million kWh.

EVN Deputy General Director Nguyen Xuan Nam proposed implementing a number of solutions to overcome the current power shortage and hoped that Thai Binh would share with the production and supply of electricity, implement electricity saving measures, and support and accompany EVN in developing solar power sources, investing in projects and power grids according to the VIII master plan to fundamentally overcome the power shortage to serve the socio-economic development of the whole country.

Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Comrade Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, said: Thai Binh is promoting production development, especially industrial production, so electricity plays a very important role. The province has also worked with and encouraged two thermal power plants at the Thai Binh Power Center to focus on operating and supplying electricity to the national grid.

The Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the electricity sector to take reasonable measures to regulate the time frames and duration of power outages to minimize impacts on production and daily life of businesses and people; in the immediate future, ensure electricity for exams in the province.

Sharing the difficulties of the electricity sector, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee affirmed that he would direct the promotion of propaganda and mobilization of people and businesses to use electricity economically and effectively. The province supports the policy of developing environmentally friendly electricity sources, renewable energy such as wind power, solar power and gas power...

Comrade Nguyen Tien Thanh, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, said that with the increasing demand for electricity, Vietnam Electricity Group needs to continue to advise the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Government to have an effective energy investment and development strategy, meeting enough power sources for the country's development. In the current difficult context of power shortage, EVN needs to have a more reasonable plan and load regulation solution, mobilizing power sources to provide the best service for production, business and daily life of people and enterprises... On the province's side, it will direct all levels, sectors and localities to focus on propagating and mobilizing people and enterprises to do a good job of saving electricity; the province's press agencies will strengthen communication to all classes of people to create correct awareness, share the difficulties of the electricity sector as well as the current rotating power outages, proactively implement energy saving and efficiency.
