- On September 6, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity (PCTNTC) held its August 2024 meeting. Comrade Nguyen Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Negativity (PCTNTC) chaired the meeting.

At the meeting, the Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee presented the contents; reports submitted at the meeting, including: Report on the results of the assessment of the work of PCTNTC in August 2024, key tasks in September 2024; progress of handling and resolving cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for PCTNTC in August 2024; preliminary report on the results of reviewing and inspecting the contents related to the Project to upgrade section Km18 - Km80, National Highway 4B of Working Group No. 11 of the Provincial Steering Committee for PCTNTC.

Comrade Phung Quang Hoi, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Deputy Head of the Steering Committee reported on the contents presented at the meeting.

Specifically, in August 2024, the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Prevention promptly advised the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee to lead and direct Party committees, authorities, agencies, organizations and units to implement and concretize the contents of the Central and provincial guidelines on anti-corruption and prevention work; focusing on propaganda andeducation of laws on anti-corruption and prevention; measures to prevent corruption and negativity were implemented synchronously in accordance with regulations. At the same time, it directed relevant agencies to prepare contents to serve the Inspection Delegation of the Central Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Prevention to inspect the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee; directed to speed up the settlement of corruption and negativity cases and incidents of public concern; inspection work when there are signs of violations is carried out according to plan.

The members of the Steering Committee have proactively deployed and performed their assigned tasks; advised and proposed to the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption and Prevention on anti-corruption work in the assigned fields of monitoring and responsibility. However, some grassroots Party committees, agencies, and units have not yet implemented anti-corruption work in a specific and realistic manner, and have not really paid attention to prevention work; the management of cadres and party members in some agencies has not been thorough and strict; some cadres and party members lack self-cultivation and training, leading to violations of Party and State regulations, thereby leading to potential risks of corruption and negativity; there are also cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee that have been prolonged and not yet concluded .

Comrade Nguyen Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Steering Committee delivered a concluding speech at the meeting.

Concluding the meeting, Comrade Nguyen Quoc Doan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption, agreed to remove the case of " Trading in state secret documents" that occurred during the civil servant promotion exam and promotion of officials in Lang Son province in 2021 from the monitoring and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption. The Standing Office of the Steering Committee presided over and coordinated with the Steering Committee to continue to effectively direct the implementation of propaganda, warning and prevention work, and lessons learned from the results of handling the cases.

Regarding the key tasks in September, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee agreed with the 7 orientation contents in the report and noted a number of contents, specifically: seriously and effectively organizing the implementation of the Notice of Conclusion of the 26th Session of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption; effectively organizing the implementation of the Inspection and Supervision Plan of the Provincial Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption in 2024; completing the inspection and supervision of the inspection and supervision delegations of the Provincial Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption of the Standing Committee of the Huu Lung District Party Committee; the Party Committee of the Market Management Department and the Office of the Provincial People's Committee, the People's Committee of Huu Lung District.

Continue to deploy the tasks of the Working Groups of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption (Working Group No. 11, Working Group No. 12 ) . At the same time, urgently overcome the limitations pointed out, speed up the progress of handling and resolving cases and incidents under the monitoring and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption.

The Standing Office of the Steering Committee proactively coordinated with relevant agencies to seriously, thoroughly, fully and thoughtfully prepare the contents to serve the Inspection Delegation of the Central Steering Committee on Anti-Corruption and Anti-Corruption to inspect the Standing Committee of Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.

Regarding the Progress Report on handling and resolving cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Anti-Corruption in August 2024, he requested the prosecution agencies and relevant agencies to strengthen coordination, overcome difficulties, and strictly implement the Conclusions of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Standing Committee, the Steering Committee and the Standing Committee of the Steering Committee. The Provincial PCTNTC Committee will focus on resolving cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee. Regarding the shortcomings, limitations, and slow progress pointed out in the cases and incidents, the Director of the Provincial Police - Deputy Head of the Provincial PCTNTC Committee will be assigned to direct the prosecution agencies to strictly implement the coordination regulations in advising, directing, and resolving cases and incidents under the supervision and direction of the Steering Committee, and to coordinate to promptly conclude the investigation of the cases according to regulations.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control agreed with the preliminary report on the results of the review and inspection of the contents related to the Project to upgrade the section Km18 - Km80, National Highway 4B of Working Group No. 11 of the Provincial Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control; assigned the Standing Office to directly collect the opinions of the comrades at the Standing Committee meeting of the Steering Committee, and complete the report. At the same time, requested Working Group No. 11 to continue to implement well and effectively according to the proposed Plan.
