Politburo members: Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security To Lam and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Le Minh Hung; Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha attended the Conference at the main bridge point of the Party Central Committee Headquarters.
Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung attended at the Hanoi Party Committee bridge.
At the Conference, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai emphasized that this was the first conference of the Standing member of the Secretariat with the Secretaries of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees to create unity, clarity, raise awareness and responsibility in leadership and direction from the Central to the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees. The conference not only stopped at thoroughly implementing the guidelines, policies, directives, resolutions and conclusions of the Central but also was an opportunity for Party leaders to listen, meet, exchange experiences and achievements, and at the same time share the difficulties and problems of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees, and find solutions for leadership and direction in the coming time.
The Standing Secretary of the Secretariat said that this conference aims to evaluate the outstanding results of the first 6 months of the year; inform about the results as well as difficulties and obstacles in the first half of the term of implementing the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels; at the same time forecast and propose tasks that need to be focused on in the next half of the term.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai commended the achievements in the first 6 months of 2023 of 63 Provincial and Municipal Party Committees in leadership, direction, and implementation of the Congress Resolution, resolutions, directives, and conclusions of the 13th Party Central Committee, Politburo, and Secretariat, and the Resolution of the Provincial and Municipal Party Congresses for the 2020-2025 term.
The Provincial and Municipal Party Committees have thoroughly grasped and consistently grasped the viewpoints, goals, tasks and solutions to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Provincial and Municipal Party Congresses for the 2020-2025 term and the resolutions, directives and conclusions of the 13th Central Party Committee to focus on leadership, direction and effective implementation in accordance with the reality of each locality. In leadership and direction, the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees have taken advantage of and promoted internal resources, mobilized the combined strength of the entire political system; clearly identified specific tasks at each time to concentrate resources on solving key, strategic tasks, urgent issues, difficult issues and issues that have existed for many years.
Emphasizing a number of key tasks from now until the end of the year, Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai requested that the Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees focus on leading and directing the effective implementation of 6 key tasks according to the Conclusion Notice No. 29-KL/TW dated July 27, 2023 of the Politburo, integrating the key tasks of the 13th Central Executive Committee's mid-term conference.
Provincial and Municipal Party Secretaries must concentrate to best fulfill the set goals and targets. For new issues arising in the area, Party Secretaries must promptly direct and handle them.
Standing member of the Secretariat Truong Thi Mai requested that the Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees thoroughly grasp the contents presented by Minister of Public Security To Lam at the Conference on Directive No. 24-CT/TW, dated July 13, 2023 of the Politburo. Along with that, the Secretaries of Provincial and Municipal Party Committees need to focus on participating in and preparing well for the upcoming 8th Central Conference.
Regarding the recommendations and proposals of the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees stated at the Conference, the Standing Secretariat acknowledged and assigned relevant agencies to continue researching and proposing to the Politburo and the Secretariat to direct relevant agencies according to their assigned functions and authorities to directly respond to the Provincial and Municipal Party Committees.
At the Conference, delegates listened to Deputy Chief of the Party Central Committee Office Bui Van Thach present a summary report on the situation and main results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress; resolutions, directives and conclusions of the Central Committee, Politburo, Secretariat of the 13th tenure, Resolutions of the Provincial and Municipal Party Congresses for the 2020-2025 term, mid-term and the first 6 months of 2023.
Delegates listened to Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Minister of Public Security To Lam explain the main contents of Directive No. 24-CT/TW, dated July 13, 2023 of the Politburo on firmly ensuring national security in the context of comprehensive and extensive international integration and some contents on ensuring security and order in localities.
