On December 3, at a press conference right after the closing session of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Unions, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that the socio-economic situation in the last months of 2023 still has difficulties.

In response to such a forecast, Mr. Hieu said that the General Confederation of Labor has directed the issuance of a plan to take care of Tet for workers very early.

Along with that, designing a policy to take care of the subjects, in addition to support and gifts, the Union will organize free and discounted buses, trains, and planes to support workers to travel home to celebrate Tet.

Since the beginning of November 2023, the Department of Labor Relations and Wages (Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs) has submitted to this Ministry a request for localities to report on the situation of wages and Tet bonuses in 2024 of enterprises for workers.

The deadline for reporting the situation of wages and Tet bonuses of enterprises this year is similar to last year, that is, on December 25. Based on the synthesis of reports from localities, the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just released specific information.

On December 3, at the press conference right after the closing session of the 13th Congress of Vietnam Trade Union, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, said that the socio -economic situation in the last months of 2023 was still difficult.

Although most businesses ensure their lives and jobs for workers, a part of the business continues to lack orders; or for a long time under the heavy influence of CIVI-19 pandemic, many businesses have decreased to fight.
