The work "Lien hoa tinh canh" by artist Nguyen Thi Kim Duc depicts a lotus pond in oil, bright and full of energy. When seeing it with your own eyes, viewers will feel like they are immersed in a space filled with the fragrant scent of lotus.
Sharing with the press, artist Nguyen Thi Kim Duc said she wanted to honor the artistic creation and practice from the pure, innocent beauty of the lotus flower. With the belief that art from the heart will touch the heart, the artist wishes to convey a meaningful message about the environment, encouraging the young generation to take action, love the country, people and nature.
The precious painting 'Lien hoa tinh canh' by artist Nguyen Thi Kim Duc is currently on display at Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space, within the framework of the Hanoi Lotus Festival.
In addition to displaying precious paintings, artist Nguyen Thi Kim Duc and hundreds of student volunteers arranged nearly 1,000 lotus flowers, creating a peaceful and quiet space for locals and tourists to enjoy.
According to artist Kim Duc, she also sells small versions of "Lien hoa tinh canh" paintings, the proceeds will be used to support youth groups in planting forests and protecting the environment.
Previously, the painting "Pure Lotus" was blessed by His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, His Holiness the Gyalwang Drukpa, and displayed at the 9th National Buddhist Congress and the 2024 Vietnamese Lotus Art Exhibition - Pure Beauty. The work was highly appreciated by UNESCO, attracting millions of visitors.
