Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen, Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee delivered the opening speech at the event.

In his opening speech, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen, Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee said: "With the motto "All children in the district enjoy the Mid-Autumn Festival"; this year, departments, branches, and organizations from the district to the ward have done many practical things, paying attention to taking care of children so they can have fun and enjoy a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, filled with love. This activity is even more meaningful when storm No. 3 has just passed through the capital Hanoi, causing great damage to the people of the capital and Tay Ho district. Many children were forced to evacuate and stay home from school to ensure safety from natural disasters and floods.

With the goal of organizing a warm, family-reunion Tet holiday in accordance with traditional national customs, thereby encouraging families and especially children to overcome difficulties and soon stabilize their lives after the storm, in recent days, Party committees at all levels, authorities, and socio-political organizations in Tay Ho district have organized giving Mid-Autumn gifts to children, especially at evacuation points; organizing Mid-Autumn lantern parades, art programs for children... attracting a large number of children to participate.

In particular, children from near-poor households and those in especially difficult circumstances have been cared for and looked after through practical activities, demonstrating the deep love and responsibility of Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, and district and ward organizations.

"This year's Mid-Autumn Festival, Storm No. 3 had complicated developments, causing great damage to the northern provinces; seriously affecting production and people's lives. The business community, especially enterprises and production households in localities heavily damaged by the storm, have been urgently taking action to restore production and business. Along with the efforts of the business community, it is necessary to have support programs, remove difficulties, and promote production and business for enterprises", the Chairman of Tay Ho District People's Committee emphasized.
