Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu presented flowers to congratulate the Provincial Federation of Labor on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union.

On July 15, the Hai Duong Provincial Federation of Labor held a meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2024).

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Duong province affirmed that the working class and trade unions play an important role in the cause of national construction and defense. Over the years, Hai Duong Trade Union has achieved many outstanding achievements; the material and spiritual life of workers and laborers in the province has been constantly improved and enhanced. This is the result of solidarity, determination to rise up, the spirit of enthusiastic and creative work of all levels of trade unions and the team of workers, civil servants and laborers in Hai Duong.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu affirmed that the working class and trade unions play an important role in building and defending the Fatherland.

To unite and strengthen the working class and trade union organizations, Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council, requested that trade unions at all levels thoroughly grasp the Party's viewpoints and policies, the State's policies and laws, and the Provincial Party Committee's action programs to effectively organize and implement them; well perform the core function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers. Trade unions at all levels should improve the effectiveness of dialogue, collective bargaining, and build harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises. Mobilize resources to care for workers, especially low-income workers, while ensuring social security. Timely advise Party committees and authorities at all levels on issues related to workers and trade union activities...

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Le Van Hieu noted that building a strong working class and trade union organization is not only the responsibility of the trade union organization but also the responsibility of the entire political system, the whole society and the efforts of each trade union member. Party committees, party organizations and authorities at all levels need to strengthen leadership and direction to improve the quality of activities of the trade union system from the province to the grassroots level; promptly resolve the legitimate requests and aspirations of workers, civil servants and laborers...

Comrade Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, spoke at the meeting.

Praising and recognizing the achievements of grassroots trade union officials, Mr. Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, affirmed that the role and responsibility of the grassroots trade union president is to care for and protect the rights of workers; build a close relationship between union members, workers and enterprises. Grassroots trade union officials are the bridge between workers and party committees, authorities and vice versa. Mr. Thai Thu Xuong hopes that the Hai Duong Labor Federation and trade union officials at all levels will continue to strive, demonstrate their mettle, responsibility and prestige towards work and workers; be steadfast in the face of all difficulties and challenges, and not let themselves be degraded in political ideology, ethics and lifestyle. Strive to excellently complete the tasks set forth by the Resolution of the Trade Union Congress at all levels with the motto "Vietnam Trade Union of workers, by workers and for workers".

Comrade Thai Thu Xuong, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, awarded the "For the cause of building trade union organizations" Medal to exemplary trade union officials.

At the meeting, delegates reviewed the history of formation and role of the Vietnam Trade Union in general, Hai Duong Trade Union in particular, in the struggle for class liberation and national liberation through the periods; in socio-economic construction and development; and the outstanding achievements that Hai Duong Trade Union has achieved over the past 78 years (November 1946 - November 2024).

The Provincial Federation of Labor awarded 38 outstanding grassroots Trade Union Chairmen for their outstanding achievements in trade union activities.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the "For the cause of building trade union organizations" Medal to 162 trade union officials in the province. The Provincial Confederation of Labor awarded 38 outstanding grassroots trade union chairmen.
