(NLDO) - On February 8, the Prime Minister issued a telegram requesting to overcome the consequences of a particularly serious traffic accident in Phu Yen that killed 3 people.
Telegram No. 12/CD-TTg on overcoming the consequences of a particularly serious traffic accident in Phu Yen province from the Prime Minister sent to the Ministers of the Ministries of Public Security and Transport; Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities; and the National Traffic Safety Committee.
The passenger bus in the accident that killed 3 people in Phu Yen
Previously, at 1:00 a.m. on February 8, a particularly serious traffic accident occurred at Km1269+250 on National Highway 1, through Xuan Thinh Commune, Song Cau Town, Phu Yen Province, when a passenger car with license plate 50H-355.47 of Tan Kim Chi (HCMC) overturned. The result was 3 deaths and 27 injuries.
To promptly overcome the consequences of the above accident and prevent similar traffic accidents, the Prime Minister requested the Chairman of the People's Committee and Head of the Traffic Safety Committee of Phu Yen province to direct the provincial agencies and functional units to immediately arrange all medical conditions and medicines to treat the victims, minimize the loss of life and property of the people; organize visits, support and encouragement to the victims and families of the victims who died in the accident.
The Prime Minister assigned the Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Yen province to directly chair a conference with relevant agencies and forces to assess the causes and immediately deploy solutions to overcome existing shortcomings and inadequacies; at the same time, urgently clarify the direct and indirect causes related to the above traffic accident in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 10/CT-TTg.
At the same time, continue to direct passenger and freight transport business units in the area to strictly implement legal regulations related to business activities and business conditions for automobile transport.
The Prime Minister assigned the Minister of Public Security to direct the Phu Yen Provincial Police and relevant units to urgently investigate and clarify the cause of the accident and strictly handle in accordance with the law the organizations and individuals who violated the regulations, causing the above-mentioned particularly serious traffic accident. Note, strictly handle the driver, vehicle owner or vehicle company and related individuals in case of violation of regulations on working hours, conditions and health of drivers in the above-mentioned accident.
The Ministry of Public Security directs the police of units and localities to strengthen patrols and strictly control road transport activities by automobile, especially passenger vehicles and large-volume cargo vehicles; review the journey monitoring equipment system for commercial automobiles, and strictly handle violations in accordance with the law, especially violations of regulations on working hours of drivers.
The Minister of Transport directed relevant units to review and organize traffic reasonably and scientifically on National Highway 1 and important expressways and national highways, and to enhance the safety features of the traffic infrastructure system in areas with complex traffic conditions to ensure traffic order and safety...
The Prime Minister assigned the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee to direct the inspection and review of the compliance with legal regulations on road transport activities of Tan Kim Chi bus company, especially regulations on working hours, conditions, and health of drivers, and strictly handle violations of the bus company and bus owners (if any) in accordance with the law.
