At the invitation of Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Qiang and Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Klaus Schwab, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will pay an official visit to the People's Republic of China and attend the 14th Annual Meeting of WEF Pioneers from June 25 to 28.
Promote mutually beneficial cooperation
This is Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's first official visit to China, and also the first official visit by a Vietnamese Prime Minister to China in the past seven years; it is a continuation of the regular exchanges and contacts between senior leaders of the two parties and two countries in recent times.

The political relations between Vietnam and China have generally maintained a stable development trend and achieved many positive results. This visit is of great significance, providing an opportunity for the two countries' senior leaders to discuss in depth measures to comprehensively implement the results and common perceptions reached during General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's official visit to China late last year; making efforts to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in all fields, and controlling disagreements well, contributing to deepening the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in more and more substance.
Convey a big message
During his visit, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will attend the WEF Tianjin, co-organized by the WEF and the Chinese Government. This is the second largest conference after the WEF Davos (Switzerland). As a reliable partner and responsible member of the international community, Vietnam will actively contribute and coordinate with international partners to solve global issues to maintain and promote regional and global economic growth.
Within the framework of the WEF Tianjin 2023, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh will deliver a speech, sharing Vietnam's vision at the plenary session "Coping with Headwinds: Restarting Growth in a Fragile Context" and the leaders' working lunch on "Preventing a Lost Decade".
On the occasion of attending the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and WEF leaders will co-chair the Vietnam - WEF National Strategic Dialogue, attend the Vietnam - China Business Forum and have meetings with leaders of countries and corporations attending the conference.
Through these activities, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh conveyed a major message about Vietnam's development goals, viewpoints, and orientations; grasped new issues and trends of the world economy, exchanged development and governance thinking at the global, regional, and national levels in the context of profound changes in the world economy, thereby enhancing Vietnam's role and voice in global issues.
