Prime Minister attends and congratulates Buddha's Birthday 2024 at Quan Su Pagoda

(Dan Tri) - On the morning of May 22, at the Central Headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha at Quan Su Pagoda, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and congratulated the Great Ceremony to celebrate the Buddha's birthday in 2024 (Buddhist calendar 2568).
On the morning of May 22 (April 15 of the lunar calendar), Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh visited and congratulated the dignitaries of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), monks, nuns and Buddhists on the occasion of the 2568th Buddha's Birthday in 2024 at Quan Su Pagoda (Photo: Nhu Y). Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the Buddha statue bathing ceremony with the Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha. The Prime Minister sent congratulations to the leaders of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and conveyed congratulations from General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to Buddhists nationwide on the occasion of Buddha's birthday (Photo: Nhu Y). Most Venerable Thich Thien Nhon - Deputy Supreme Patriarch, Chairman of the Central Executive Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha - respectfully thanked Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the delegation for coming to congratulate the Buddha's Birthday at Quan Su Pagoda. A large number of people and Buddhists came to Quan Su Pagoda to offer incense and celebrate the occasion of Buddha's Birthday. 2,568 years ago, on the full moon day of the fourth lunar month, in Lumbini Garden, flowers bloomed to celebrate the birth of Prince Siddhartha, son of King Suddhodana and Queen Maya (Photo: Huu Nghi). Many celebratory activities were also held with the joy of Buddhists from all over the world.
