At a meeting with the Association of Japanese People Abroad, Mr. Katsuyuki Janaka, Chairman of the Association, shared that there are currently 5 million Japanese people abroad, mainly the 3rd and 4th generations. Every year, the Association organizes a congress to connect Japanese people around the world and discuss issues of interest to the government such as culture, politics, economics, etc.

Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang discussed the history and situation of the overseas Vietnamese community in general, the characteristics of the Vietnamese community in Japan in particular, as well as the great contributions of the overseas Vietnamese community in building the homeland. The two sides shared experiences in promoting the resources and intelligence of the overseas Vietnamese community to contribute to the country.
Also on April 4, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang visited and worked with the Vietnam Business Association in Japan. Attending the meeting were many Vietnamese businesses in Japan such as Japan Apple, Aikai Group, Fuji Travel, Shin Toyo Gate Co. Ltd, Sakura Dream... and Japanese partners.

Talking to businesses, Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang suggested that businesses promote their extensive experience and understanding of the market and preferences of Japanese people... to expand the market as well as connect businesses not only in Vietnam but also around the world; continue to actively participate in activities organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Japan and the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese to further promote the fields of investment, tourism and education.
On the same day, in Tokyo, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Thi Thu Hang, Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu and the delegation visited HONTO TV - a media channel of the Vietnamese community in Japan.

Ms. Do Thi Minh Phuong, Editor-in-Chief of HONTO TV, said that Honto TV was established in March 2022 and legally registered in Japan. With the aim of creating a media channel with self-produced products about the Vietnamese community in Japan, HONTO TV has participated in organizing many cultural events such as Hoi An - Japan Festival, Cherry Blossom Festival, Hello Saitama...
Deputy Minister Le Thi Thu Hang highly appreciated HONTO TV's efforts in contributing to the Vietnamese community in Japan through useful content that brings many values to the community; congratulated HONTO TV on winning the Second Prize of the "9th National Award for Foreign Information", organized by the Central Propaganda Department.

Ambassador Pham Quang Hieu encouraged the HONTO TV team to actively participate in more community activities, spreading objective, accurate, and multi-dimensional information not only in the Vietnamese community, but also to Japanese audiences. The Ambassador also asked the delegation to connect information between HONTO TV and domestic television channels and newspapers to create a global Vietnamese news network.
