On the morning of October 7, the monitoring delegation of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee held a meeting to unify the content of the implementation of monitoring the implementation of legal regulations in ensuring inland waterway traffic safety and the management and inspection of inland waterway vehicles in the province. Comrade Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the monitoring delegation chaired the meeting.

According to the plan, the Delegation will conduct supervision at a number of localities, departments, branches, units... related to the area on the following contents: Leadership and direction on ensuring inland waterway traffic safety and management and inspection of inland waterway vehicles in the province; results of ensuring inland waterway traffic safety; results of managing and inspecting inland waterway vehicles. Along with that, the Delegation will focus on clarifying the limitations and difficulties and propose and recommend to competent authorities to improve the quality of ensuring inland waterway traffic safety and the management and inspection of inland waterway vehicles in the province in the coming time.
At the meeting, members of the Supervisory Delegation gave their opinions, focusing on a number of key points for supervision such as: Timeline for supervision implementation; close coordination between members and units during the supervision process; management of waterway and inland vehicles in localities...
Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Le Van Anh, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Supervisory Delegation emphasized: Supervision in the work of ensuring inland waterway traffic safety and the work of managing and registering inland waterway vehicles in the province will objectively evaluate the achieved results; clarify the limitations and causes. Thereby, there is a basis to propose and recommend solutions to overcome, contributing to improving the effectiveness of management work, ensuring inland waterway traffic safety and the work of managing and registering inland waterway vehicles in the province in the coming time.
The comrade requested the Office and the Provincial People's Council Committees to receive and synthesize the opinions of the delegation members, complete the outline, and assign specific tasks to the members to implement the supervision content by the end of October 2024. The supervision must closely follow the provisions of the Law on Supervision Activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils; the supervision must ensure objectivity, honesty, efficiency and follow the set schedule and plan. The subject of supervision must prepare reports, relevant documents and records and arrange working members for the supervision to be effective.
