The above content was emphasized by Mr. Le Do Muoi - Director of the Maritime Administration (Ministry of Transport) at a working session with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province and related units on solutions to exploit and receive international tourist ships in this locality, which took place on the afternoon of October 25.

Previously, Nha Trang Port (Nha Trang City) temporarily stopped receiving international cruise ships from September 20 for upgrading and repair, so there was a plan to bring cruise ships to Cam Ranh International Port. However, the distance from Cam Ranh International Port to tourist attractions in Nha Trang City is up to 60km, wasting the travel time of tourists.
In addition, there are additional costs for renting shuttle vehicles, tour guides, operators, etc., and procedures when the port is located in a military controlled area. Shipping companies often sell tour tickets to customers 1 to 3 years in advance, changing the pick-up point causes many difficulties and requires a long-term plan.

At the meeting, a number of agencies and businesses proposed that the Maritime Administration research and find another location for international cruise ships to anchor in Nha Trang Bay to conveniently welcome visitors.
In particular, the plan to welcome ships at Ana Marina (north of Nha Trang City) was thoroughly discussed by delegates. Because this place is right in the city center, with modern facilities and equipment that meet the standards for serving cruise passengers and international ships. However, in this area there is no international ship anchorage area.
Director Le Do Muoi affirmed that cruise tourists not only bring economic efficiency, but also promote tourism in Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa in particular and Vietnam in general to friends around the world.
Accordingly, Mr. Muoi assigned the Planning and Investment Department to guide the Nha Trang Maritime Port Authority and businesses to urgently establish a temporary anchorage area in the north of Nha Trang, to be able to receive international cruise ships and transfer passengers to the Ana Marina yacht terminal.

Director Le Do Muoi also assigned the Planning and Investment Department and Nha Trang Port Authority to work with the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province to expand the seaport waters in Nha Phu lagoon area (Ninh Hoa town), combining storm shelter and welcoming tourist ships here.
In addition, the Director of the Maritime Administration requested Ana Marina International Cruise Terminal Company to continue to improve its facilities and arrange working areas for authorities when receiving guests from international cruise ships; Cam Ranh International Port to continue to upgrade its facilities and continue to work with the Navy Region 4 Command to facilitate international tourists to enter and exit quickly and conveniently so that shipping lines have more options./.
