Hanoi University of Science and Technology has just announced the scores of the second thinking test (held on March 8-9) of nearly 19,000 candidates, of which the highest score was from a student from Bac Ninh.
Among them, the candidate with the highest score was 92.69/100, coming from Bac Ninh High School for the Gifted, Bac Ninh province. There were 4 candidates with over 90 points; 67 candidates with over 80 points; 847 candidates with over 70 points.
The average score of the second round was 54.39/100, lower than the first round (54.54).
The valedictorian of the second batch of 2025 continues to come from Bac Ninh Specialized High School, the same school as the valedictorian of the first batch - Vu Minh Duc with 98.61 points, a record score of the exam so far.
In the top 10 there are two other students from this school, in 2nd and 7th place respectively.

The first thinking assessment test was organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2020 in the form of paper-based tests. From 2023, the test will be organized on computers.
This year, Hanoi University of Science and Technology will organize 3 rounds of thinking assessment exams from January to April 2025 with about 75,000 exams, an increase of 25,000 compared to last year. The exam has three parts: Mathematical Thinking (60 minutes), Reading Comprehension (30 minutes) and Scientific Thinking/Problem Solving (60 minutes). The questions focus on assessing the candidates' thinking ability, not directly testing knowledge of any subject. The total score of the exam is 100.
After two rounds, the exam has had 33,000 candidates participating. The final round will take place on April 26-27. The system opens for registration from April 1-6.
