On January 26, at the Danang Meeting 2024 event organized by the Danang People's Committee, the Management Board of Danang High-Tech Park and Industrial Parks announced that it had just granted an investment registration certificate to KP AERO INDUSTRIES CO., LTD to invest in the KP VINA aviation components factory project, with a total investment capital of 20 million USD.
The project's objective is to manufacture, process and assemble aircraft components, including auxiliary power unit doors (APU Door), MIC tip, wingbox, winglet, flap support fairing of Boeing 787 and Boeing 737 Max aircraft.
The Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones said that this is the second project in the field of aerospace invested in Da Nang High-Tech Park after the project of UAC Vietnam Co., Ltd. The successful attraction of 2 FDI projects in the field of aerospace from the United States and South Korea has affirmed the initial results of the Management Board in realizing the goal of turning Da Nang into a high-tech center of the country by 2030 in the spirit of the direction of the Politburo.
Da Nang High-Tech Park has just attracted the second aviation components factory project.
The representative of KP AERO INDUSTRIES CO., LTD committed that immediately after signing the land lease contract, they will promptly carry out construction procedures in accordance with legal regulations, expected to start construction in early February 2024, striving to complete and officially start operating by the end of 2024.
The Management Board of Da Nang High-Tech Park and Industrial Zones added that the implementation of the KP VINA aviation components factory project at Da Nang High-Tech Park not only contributes positively to the socio-economic development of Da Nang City but also creates the first foundation for the formation of an aviation - aerospace technology complex at Da Nang High-Tech Park.
Thereby, attracting aviation companies and corporations around the world to be interested in researching, surveying the investment environment and implementing projects at Da Nang High-Tech Park, promoting technology transfer activities in the aviation sector. From there, enhancing the position of Da Nang City in particular and Vietnam in general in the world aviation industry.
In 2023, the Management Board granted new licenses to 19 projects with a total investment capital of 258.6 million USD (equivalent to 6,301 billion VND). In 2024, the Management Board strives to attract at least 3 investment projects to Da Nang High-Tech Park with a total investment capital of about 200 million USD, focusing on 3 main spearheads: aerospace technology, semiconductor microchips, and high-quality healthcare.
