On July 6, 2023, VinWonders - the leading amusement park chain in the region officially announced the acquisition of the Ocean City entertainment complex to upgrade it into a "sea" - entertainment - art tourist area. The presence of the "International Entertainment World" VinWonders right in the east of Hanoi not only makes Ocean City the most multi-experience urban area, but also contributes to creating a new, attractive destination for tourism in the capital.
VinWonders is the largest and most modern amusement park chain in the region with 8 locations nationwide. This is the first time VinWonders has appeared systematically in Vinhomes urban areas, bringing the tourism - entertainment - art model integrated into daily living spaces, bringing unprecedented experiences to residents and visitors.
According to the plan, after receiving back the amusement parks from Ocean City including 2 water parks and part of the Mega Grand World shopping complex - VinWonders will implement a comprehensive transformation roadmap to turn the entire complex into a "sea" tourist destination of the Capital.
In particular, Royal Wave Park will be renamed VinWonders Hanoi Wave Park; Paradise Bay Water Park will be renamed VinWonders Hanoi Water Park. Along with the name change, VinWonders will plan, expand and upgrade games at existing locations. Specifically, VinWonders Hanoi Wave Park will be enhanced with 02 new games this July: Magic Bike - Exciting cycling in the air, Ballon Tower - Enjoy the breathtaking scenery from above. These are two unique games designed and provided by two of the world's leading entertainment game manufacturing companies, Zamperla and Technical Park.
Existing items at the 2 water parks will also be supplemented and upgraded to be more attractive, along with a series of activities in the annual WonderFest International Sea Festival series. That is the world's largest wave pool complex of over 18 hectares, including 6 artificial wave pools with a total area of 5.4 hectares with waves that can be up to nearly 3 meters high; 15-meter waterfall, 30-meter artificial mountain, Sandy Park sand park with an area of over 10,000 square meters, Asia's largest artificial saltwater lake Laguna with an area of 9.3 hectares and a water playground with 2 nozzle areas of 150 square meters each, 7 water slides for children... at VinWonders Hanoi Wave Park. For the first time, the endless festive atmosphere with the taste of the ocean is brought into the middle of daily living space, bringing new and unprecedented experiences to residents and visitors.
Along with operating and upgrading 2 water parks, VinWonders will add the Sky adventure game - Free fall from the height of a 7-storey building at the Mega Grand World Hanoi shopping complex in the heart of the urban area. In the evening, visitors can immerse themselves in the live show "The Grand Voyage - A voyage to explore the prosperous trading port" with modern 3D mapping, recreating the legendary prosperous trading ports and 5 oceans. In particular, the "time-travel" element is cleverly interwoven with the constantly changing context along the sea route, creating an unprecedented visual impression, vividly depicting cultures and myths from around the world. The show will be launched to the public at the end of 2023, creating a new, attractive night tourist destination and a complete sublimation for a 24-hour Hanoi journey.
VinWonders' move to the North, converging with Vincom Retail (Mega Grand World) at Vinhomes (Ocean City) is part of Vingroup's strategy of "joining forces - joining forces - joining talents" to develop destinations for Vietnamese tourism.
The synergy of the ecosystem not only elevates the quality of life and experience for Ocean City residents to new heights, but also brings the “colorful entertainment universe” and the bustling shopping world like in famous landmarks present right on the east coast of Hanoi, contributing to renewing the appearance of tourism in the Capital./.
