One of the objectives of Resolution No. 17-NQ/TU dated October 30, 2023 issued by the Provincial Party Committee "On building and promoting cultural values, human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development" is to encourage the development of non-public museums, agencies, organizations, units, and localities to build and exploit traditional houses and traditional rooms to develop in accordance with the Party's political orientation.
Building models of memorial houses and traditional houses will contribute to building and promoting cultural values and human strength of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource and driving force for rapid and sustainable development.

Quang Ninh used to have 2 private museums but both have stopped operating. Non-public museums are very difficult, but traditional rooms with the scale of miniature museums are completely possible. Meanwhile, the demand for building traditional rooms of localities, units and enterprises in the province is very high. In the province, each coal company now has a traditional house. The traditional house of the Mining Geology Joint Stock Company - TKV displays hundreds of coal and clay specimens. This can be considered a unique miniature museum in the Mining Region. The traditional house of Ha Tu coal mine is also considered a miniature museum with many documents and artifacts related to French coal mining technology and the history of the revolutionary struggle of miners.
At Deo Nai - Coc Sau Coal Joint Stock Company, there are 2 traditional houses. The Coc Sau mine traditional house is like a miniature museum displaying many artifacts recreating the heroic memories of the miners. In particular, there are many valuable artifacts such as: Uncle Ho's handwritten letter to the workers and cadres of Coc Sau mine in 1968, Uncle Ho's rotating award flag in 1968, the anti-aircraft self-defense gun that shot down an American AD4 aircraft on November 7, 1966; bomb fragments, artillery shells, and the remains of enemy aircraft dropped on the mine area that were recovered by workers; mines, 14.5 bullets, B41 bullets, POM Z2 mines, guns used by the Coc Sau self-defense force; Award flag of the Central Committee of the Soviet Union's Trade Unions in 1987, Letters of commendation from comrade Nguyen Van Linh, comrade Pham The Duyet; Heroic titles, medals, certificates of merit of all kinds, large block of coal mined at a depth of -150m in 2005 was awarded a certificate of record for the largest monolithic block of coal in Vietnam in 2015...
At Deo Nai Mine, the Uncle Ho Memorial House was built on land belonging to the protection zone II of the national historical site “Uncle Ho visited Deo Nai Mine, March 30, 1959”. The Uncle Ho Memorial House displays artifacts about Uncle Ho with the Coal industry as well as Deo Nai Coal Mine and welcomes delegations to visit the relic site.
Acting as a historical museum, the Dong Trieu War Zone Memorial House is preserving many artifacts and documents of historical value about the August Revolution in Quang Ninh. The system of artifacts is mostly simple weapons of the insurgents and revolutionary armed forces. Although the artifacts are not many, they are vivid evidence of the spirit, intelligence and strength of the people's war; they are products of the will of self-reliance, self-strengthening, intelligence and creativity of our army and people.
In 2020, Ba Che district inaugurated the Traditional House of the Dao community in Son Hai village, Nam Son commune. The house has a space with many life-sized wax statues, depicting the coming-of-age ceremony and daily activities of the Dao people, along with many objects and tools of the Dao people, past and present, which are very meaningful in preserving Dao culture. The traditional house is the pride of many generations of Dao people in Ba Che - a place to promote unique cultural values that were once thought to be lost.
In fact, currently in Ha Long City, there is no traditional house to serve the storage and display of relics of the old Hon Gai Town, as well as the development achievements of Ha Long City today. The city once had a policy of researching the construction of a traditional house in the land fund area of the City's Media and Culture Center in Hong Gai Ward. If this project is implemented, when completed, it will be a cultural institution bearing the historical and cultural imprint of Ha Long land.

In addition to the function of preserving, displaying and promoting the value of artifacts, Quang Ninh Museum also strengthens scientific research, provides professional support and is a reliable address for the construction of traditional houses in localities. Previously, Quang Ninh Museum also supported Van Don district to build the San Diu ethnic traditional house in Binh Dan commune, and supported Uong Bi city to build the Dao Thanh Y ethnic exhibition house in Thuong Yen Cong commune. In fact, these traditional houses have been more closely linked with cultural tourism activities, strengthened cooperation with travel companies, and further promoted cooperation in the fields of scientific research, collection, preservation, display of artifacts, conservation and promotion of cultural heritage values.
