With that trend, press agencies are forced to change the way they operate, from production, distribution to content consumption, in order to create a more suitable new model. Since its establishment, the Provincial Media Center has also operated and followed this trend. In order to produce new types of journalism, the Quang Ninh Media Center has organized the editorial office according to the converged editorial office model, from resource convergence to process convergence to be able to control content from input to output in a smooth and consistent manner. On that basis, the development of multi-platform, multi-service and multimedia press products is identified as an extremely important task.

To produce new types of journalism, Quang Ninh Media Center has organized the newsroom according to the converged newsroom model.

Multimedia press products on Quang Ninh e-newspaper with full content, images, videos, graphics, and sounds presented on digital tools are increasingly attracting and appealing to the public.

Recently, with the trend of mobile-first and social-first, with the goal of producing press and media products that are suitable for mobile devices, suitable for the agility of social media and social networks, the Provincial Media Center has proactively built and launched the QuangninhMedia app. This application can watch TV, listen to PT and read newspapers on mobile phones easily and conveniently.

Along with that, the Center develops journalism on social media platforms by consolidating existing channels and building new channels on modern media platforms including: Youtube, Facebook, Tiktok, Zalo... Up to now, the Center owns a system of rich and effective social media channels that are among the top in Quang Ninh, with a large number of interested readers.

In particular, the fanpage on Facebook of the Center named QMG-Tin tức Quang Ninh 24/7 has up to 306,000 followers, becoming a page providing official information about various fields in the province, trusted by the public. Many videos posted on the channel have attracted millions of views. In particular, during the Covid-19 epidemic, the fanpage channel QMG-Tin tức Quang Ninh 24/7 has truly become an effective communication channel about the epidemic, government policies to the people; posting online teaching videos to serve the needs of students during the online learning period...

With the characteristics of a tourist province, from 2022, the Center also built a specialized fanpage to introduce destinations, unique cuisine, and attractive travel experiences in the province, called the fanpage Quang Ninh Eat and Play 24/7. Up to now, this page has had 23,000 followers, contributing to actively promoting Quang Ninh tourism.

Along with that, the Center has also quickly built 2 Quang Ninh TV youtube channels, of which the youtube channel in collaboration with BHMedia started operating from December 14, 2020 and currently has 112,000 subscribers, achieving the Youtube silver button. In addition, the Center also owns the Tiktok channel QMG-Quang Ninh News with 22,000 followers; Zalo channel QMG Quang Ninh News with nearly 4,000 followers. From October 2023, the Provincial Media Center will coordinate with VTVcab to build its own video channel on the Onlala application.

The ultimate goal in the digital transformation strategy of press agencies is still to transform to improve the quality of readers' experience, so that people, organizations, and businesses can access information in the digital environment according to their individual needs anytime, anywhere; thereby reaching and serving readers and audiences better. At that time, the press agencies themselves will do better in carrying out their propaganda tasks as well as journalism economics.

Therefore, some solutions are needed to improve the production of digital content and digital communication in line with current trends.

First of all, press agencies, including the Media Center, must identify the importance of digital transformation of journalism, changing the way of producing digital content and digital communication; must spread this thinking to every corner of the press agency so that each journalist understands that creating new and creative press products is the only way to attract and retain readers; they are forced to change to keep up.

Next, it is necessary to continue investing in people. Because people create the content of works on the basis of modern technology; it is necessary to regularly learn from experience, research, and refer to advanced converged newsroom models; learn how to produce digital content and digital communications from reputable press agencies to selectively apply them in practice.

Along with that, it is necessary to invest in and add more modern and synchronous technical equipment; increase the application of scientific and technological achievements in automating production processes, creating new types of information products, types of services, and new channels of access to readers.

In the investment plan for digital platforms, it is necessary to continue building social media channels with unique characteristics to create different competitive values. Specifically, according to the 2024 plan, QMG will test the operation of additional Youtube channels dedicated to the two heritages of Ha Long Bay and Yen Tu.

At the same time, in the long term, it is necessary to produce separate digital content for social media channels with each separate platform, in addition to editing and re-posting as it is now, thereby helping users have more options to access content, creating loyal readers through the digital environment...
