Specifically, the Le Mao extended road project (Vinh City, Nghe An) (phase 2) is about to be constructed with a length of 384 m, from the current end point of Le Mao road (the gate of Handico 30 New Urban Area) to Ho Xuan Huong road running along Vinh river. The project has a total investment of 138.97 billion VND, of which the construction part is 55.4 billion VND, the compensation cost for site clearance is 59.1 billion VND, the project management cost is 1.258 billion VND, the contingency cost is 18.126 billion VND...

According to the design, the extended Le Mao road (phase 2) belongs to the group B project, road traffic, level II; the roadbed is 48 m wide, the road surface is 26 m wide, the median strip is 8.0 m wide, the sidewalks on both sides are 14 m wide. In addition to the road, the project has items such as sidewalks, trees, lighting system, drainage ditches with manholes, collection wells, discharge gates according to the design, load-bearing sewers, etc. according to urban standards.

Previously, according to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Phong - Director of Vinh City Investment Project Management Board: The reason why the construction time of phase 2 of Le Mao road project is prolonged is due to problems with investment policies and forms.

According to the original plan, the Le Mao road project (phase 2) is about 1.2 km long, starting from the intersection with Tran Phu street to Ho Xuan Huong street running along Vinh river, of which over 800 m from Tran Phu street to the gate of Handico 30 new urban area under the BT form (joint venture exchanging land for construction) was completed 10 years ago.
According to the plan, the remaining 400 m section is expected to be constructed, but because the project was converted from BT investment to public investment, from 2018 until now, the Board has had to redo the documents and adjust the project to submit to the city for approval of the investment policy.
Along with the Le Mao extended road project (phase 2), the Tran Hung Dao extended road project (phase 2) with a total investment of 151 billion VND will also be implemented. The project includes construction and installation of 117.291 billion VND, investment consulting costs, project management, contingency costs and other costs of about 35 billion VND. This project has a length of 481.8 m, of which 428 m of road and Cua Tien III bridge is designed with 1 arch span, spanning from Le Hong Son street across Vinh river with a total length of 53.8 m.
According to the design, the extended Tran Hung Dao street (phase 2) starts from the end of the current Tran Hung Dao street running south, through Cua Nam fish pond to Ho Huu Nhan street, planned to be 35 m wide, of which the roadbed is designed to be 35 m wide, the road surface is 16 m wide, and the sidewalks on both sides are 19 m wide.
