On the morning of January 29, Tam Diep city held a conference to summarize the patriotic emulation movement in 2023 and launch the emulation movement in 2024.
In 2023, patriotic emulation movements were launched widely in Tam Diep city, creating a spread in all fields. The city completed 11/11 targets, exceeding 5/11 targets on socio-economic development in 2023.
In particular, implementing the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas" is identified as an important political task. In 2023, the City People's Committee allocated public investment capital from the provincial budget for the National Target Program on New Rural Construction to 3 communes. Focusing on supporting capital from the city budget for communes to build advanced new rural areas with a total amount of 23.5 billion VND. To date, Yen Son commune has been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting advanced new rural standards; 3 villages have been recognized by the City People's Committee as meeting model new rural standards.
The emulation movement in economic development has been promoted. Industrial production, trade and services have grown quite well, with high revenue; agricultural production has won, increasing production value on cultivated areas. The city is the leading unit in the province in terms of the number of OCOP products.
Transport infrastructure is focused on, mobilizing investment resources in a synchronous and modern direction. Site clearance work for key projects, especially the East-West road construction project in Ninh Binh province (phase 1), is closely and resolutely directed, and completed on schedule.
Social security work is given attention. People's material and spiritual life is stable; average income per capita reaches 74.1 million VND/year; the rate of poor households in the city has decreased to 0.45%; near-poor households are 0.72%.
Cultural, sports, information and propaganda activities are focused on ; attention is paid to investing in and building cultural institutions, focusing on directing and effectively implementing the Project to support the construction, upgrading and expansion of village and residential group cultural houses. During the year, 117/120 residential areas achieved the status of cultural residential areas.
Administrative reform and digital transformation are implemented flexibly. The city actively implements the Pilot Plan to build a district-level digital transformation model and a commune-level digital transformation model (version 1.0). The city's PAR Index ranks 4th out of 8 People's Committees of districts and cities, up 3 places compared to 2022.
The city's commendation work has many innovations, ensuring publicity and transparency; promptly praising typical, advanced collectives and individuals in emulation movements.
With the achievements, in 2023, Tam Diep city had 1 collective receiving a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 1 collective receiving the Excellent Emulation Flag from the Provincial People's Committee; 4 collectives achieving the title of Excellent Labor, 10 collectives and 6 individuals receiving Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. On this occasion, many collectives and individuals were also awarded by the City People's Committee.
At the conference, on behalf of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Tam Diep City and the City's Emulation and Reward Council, Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Manh Hung launched the emulation movement in 2024 throughout the Party Committee, government and people of the city. In particular, the focus is on the emulation movements "The whole country joins hands to build new rural areas", "The whole country joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind", promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure; practicing thrift, fighting waste.
The Chairman of the City People's Committee emphasized: 2024 continues to be a year with many difficulties, but with the determination to complete the 5-year socio-economic development plan (2021-2025), therefore, cadres, party members and people of the city need to promote the spirit of solidarity, strive to overcome difficulties, respond to patriotic emulation movements, and be determined to successfully implement the set socio-economic goals and tasks.
