By the end of 2024, 100% of districts and towns in the province will have OCOP products, of which each unit will have at least 8 products and each district will have at most 45 products. After meeting OCOP standards, the products will be able to participate in promotional activities, trade promotion, expand consumption markets, and increase economic value. Therefore, the OCOP product development program has attracted a large number of participants.
Mr. Le Van Duy, Duy Phat rice paper factory, Thieu Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province said: "In the past, when the product achieved OCOP, it was mainly sold in the district; since achieving OCOP, the product has a brand so it has been exported to other provinces and cities, developing the market very well".
Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, Cuong Tam Nem Chua Facility, Thach Thanh District, Thanh Hoa Province said: "My family has achieved 3-star OCOP products, the amount of nem and ham supplied to customers has increased by 20-30% compared to normal".
Right from the first year of implementation, districts, towns and cities in the province have proactively reviewed and evaluated potential products to select and support implementation entities. The provincial OCOP program support team regularly checks the implementation progress of localities, to have timely support solutions and remove difficulties.
Notably, starting from March 2023, Thanh Hoa province and the whole country will decentralize the authority to evaluate and classify OCOP products in Decision 148 of the Prime Minister. Accordingly, districts, towns and cities have been proactive in organizing the evaluation and classification of OCOP products. In addition, local authorities from district to commune have actively participated, with support programs to stimulate the subjects to actively participate in the OCOP program, ensuring the set progress.
Mr. Le Ba Quyet, Deputy Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province said: "In Hoang Hoa, we have many OCOP products because we focus on aquatic products, in which we focus on fish sauce. We have 2 5-star products and 2 4-star products. In the following years, we will maintain the products for 41 3-star products to raise them to 4-5 stars; organize for households to go on study tours to expand the consumption market."

Mr. Bui Cong Anh, Deputy Chief of the Office of New Rural Area Coordination of Thanh Hoa province said: "In 2025, we will focus on improving product quality, upgrading the rating from 3 to 4-5 stars for products. We identify supporting indicators to improve quality, improve designs, promote trade promotion, bring OCOP products to e-commerce platforms to promote and introduce products to domestic and international markets".
The OCOP program has created an equal, transparent, and healthy competitive environment among entities; at the same time, it has created a rich source of products, ensured quality, created jobs, and increased income for workers. In 2025, Thanh Hoa province is directing and supporting localities and production entities to make efforts to build 4-5 star OCOP products to enhance product value and brand.
