TPO - The Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision to assign a target of nearly 4,000 teacher contracts to receive financial support in public preschool and general education facilities in the province.
On December 31, 2024, Mr. Dau Thanh Tung, Vice Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, signed a decision on assigning the number of contract workers working as teachers to receive financial support in preschool and general education institutions in the province according to Decree No. 111/2022/ND-CP of the Government.
Specifically, the number of contract workers working as teachers receiving financial support in public preschool and general education institutions assigned to the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities and the Department of Education and Training is 3,840 targets. Of which, preschool level is 960 targets; primary school is 1,152 targets; secondary school is 1,422 targets; high school is 306 targets. The implementation period is from January 1 to May 31, 2025.

Some districts are assigned many targets for preschool education such as: Hoang Hoa district has 79 targets; Quang Xuong district has 71 targets; Thanh Hoa city has 68 targets... For primary education: Hoang Hoa district has 126 targets, Quang Xuong district has 107 targets, Nghi Son town has 88 targets... For secondary education: Thanh Hoa city has 159 targets; Nghi Son town has 89 targets, Hoang Hoa district has 98 targets...
According to the decision, relevant units shall implement the implementation of labor contracts for teachers in accordance with regulations; be responsible to the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee in determining the structure of subjects to avoid local surpluses or shortages...
Previously, Tien Phong newspaper reported a lot of information about the shortage of teachers and local teacher surpluses in Thanh Hoa province. Most recently, the shortage of teachers in the mountainous areas of Thanh Hoa forced many places to temporarily suspend the study of some subjects at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year to arrange teachers to teach inter-school, increase periods and hours to ensure the prescribed curriculum.
