Quang Xuong district supported the families of the deceased, 15 million VND each; supported the family of the missing ship owner, 25 million VND; supported the rescued victims, 1 million VND each. The Red Cross supported the families of the deceased and missing, 1 million VND each.

Previously, at around 1:30 a.m. on April 21, the fishing boat of Mr. Hoang Van San's family, residing in Dien village, Quang Nham commune, with registration number TH-90088-TS, capacity of 350CV, length of 16.7m, was operating in the northern area of Quang Ninh province's sea when it was sunk by big waves and strong winds, with 8 workers on board. Currently, 4 workers were rescued by other fishing boats and teams, 3 people who died have been found, while Mr. Hoang Van San, the boat owner, is missing and is still being searched for by authorities.
