The brawl between U22 Thailand and U22 Indonesia
Specifically, there were 5 members of U22 Thailand including 2 players and 3 assistants involved in the fight.
According to the Truth Investigation Committee, the actions of these individuals have greatly affected the prestige and reputation of Thai football, so appropriate punishment is needed.
Three members of the U22 Thailand coaching staff, Mr. Prasadchok Chokmoh (goalkeeper coach), along with two assistants Mayed Madada and Patrawut Wongsripuek, will be banned from participating in national team activities for 1 year.
Meanwhile, goalkeeper Sophonwit Rakyath and reserve player Teerapak Pruengna were banned from participating in Thai teams for 6 months.
Regarding this, the FAT said: "Because the two players are young and have legitimate reasons to receive sympathy, this penalty is appropriate."
Previously, in the final match of men's football at the 32nd SEA Games, the referee had to show 7 red cards and 12 yellow cards.
As for U22 Thailand, not only did they lose the SEA Games gold medal, the loss to U22 Indonesia also caused chaos within the "War Elephants".
Recently, coach Issara Sritaro was called to resign after the team's poor performance at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games .
