Last week, several armed groups fighting for Kiev attempted to advance from Ukraine into Russia’s Belgorod and Kursk regions. However, the attacks were repelled by Ukrainian forces. In a post on its Telegram channel, the Russian Defense Ministry shared video footage of Russian air strikes and artillery shelling of Ukrainian military targets near the border with the Belgorod region.
Also on March 21, AVP reported on the Russian Ministry of Defense's report on the successful interception of the RM-70 Vampire missile over the Belgorod region.
Accordingly, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that it had successfully repelled an attack plot targeting the Belgorod region. The Czech-made RM-70 Vampire multiple launch rocket system was used by Ukraine in this attack. According to the Russian Ministry of Defense, Russian air defense forces successfully intercepted 10 missiles on the morning of March 21.
On the front line, the Russian Defense Ministry said Russian forces had taken control of a railway station. On March 20 alone, the Ukrainian army lost two tanks, three armored fighting vehicles and seven vehicles in the direction of Donetsk. During the fighting, Russian forces destroyed two Polish-made Krab self-propelled artillery systems, an Akatsiya self-propelled artillery system, a Gvozdika motorized artillery system and a D-20 howitzer on the Ukrainian side.
