(QNO) - This morning, May 24, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu chaired the meeting of the Organizing Committee of the Startup Year (KN) - Quang Nam 2023.
The meeting aims to discuss and agree on the contents of the plan to mobilize and promote the brand at activities and events of the Year of Science and Technology - Quang Nam 2023; assign tasks to the Organizing Committee of the Year of Science and Technology - Quang Nam 2023. Especially the plan to organize the 4th Quang Nam Creative Science and Technology Festival - TechFest Quang Nam 2023 with the theme "Spreading the aspiration of Quang Nam Science and Technology".
According to the draft plan, TechFest Quang Nam 2023 is a typical scientific, economic and social event of national scale, contributing to raising awareness of all levels of sectors and people about the role of science and technology, innovation serving socio-economic development.
TechFest Quang Nam 2023 is expected to take place over 4 days (from August 23 to 26) at 24/3 Square (Tam Ky City). In addition to the opening and closing ceremonies, there will be many forums and seminars on topics such as science and technology, digital transformation, etc.
Discussing the plan to organize TechFest Quang Nam 2023, opinions suggested shortening the organization time from 4 days to 3 days and avoiding organizing ineffective forums and seminars. Some opinions suggested organizing the opening ceremony in the evening to avoid hot weather and attract more participants.
Attending the meeting, a representative of Thaco (a companion and sponsor for TechFest Quang Nam 2023) suggested that the province should soon establish a budget estimate and related procedures so that businesses can proactively coordinate in implementation. The representative of Thaco also agreed with the proposal that Thaco preside over and coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Federation of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) to organize a separate forum on science and technology.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Quang Buu thanked the discussion and comments and requested the Provincial People's Committee Office and the Provincial Creative Innovation Support Steering Committee to absorb and soon complete the plan to organize TechFest Quang Nam 2023 and the contents related to the Year of Innovation - Quang Nam 2023 to submit to the Provincial People's Committee.
Mr. Ho Quang Buu also agreed to reduce the time of organizing TechFest Quang Nam 2023 to 3 days and requested the advisory agency to coordinate in arranging the time and content of organizing activities, forums, and seminars appropriately, ensuring quality and efficiency.
