In the remaining months of 2024, based on adjusting the socio-economic development scenario to suit the practical situation after storm No. 3, Dam Ha district will focus on promoting its strengths in a number of agricultural, forestry and fishery production activities. Currently, the district has completed the review to increase the area and herd, ensuring the supply of goods to stably serve the market demand at the end of the year.

Tan Binh is one of the communes of Dam Ha district with forest resources and hilly land, so it is favorable for developing forest products, industrial crops, and fruit trees; has marine resources that are favorable for exploiting and cultivating seafood; has land area for rice cultivation to ensure food security... After the impact of storm No. 3, Tan Binh people quickly restored production activities. Currently, people are focusing on models of raising chickens, pigs, commercial shrimp, clams, and fruit trees to ensure the supply of goods and food for the year-end market, especially during the Lunar New Year 2025. Of which, there are 15 households raising Tien Yen chickens and Ho chickens on a large scale with a total herd of more than 100,000 pigs in the whole commune; 56 households raising pigs with about 500 pigs; Vinh orange, Dien grapefruit, green-skin grapefruit, and passion fruit models on nearly 10 hectares with an output of about 3 tons of various fruits.

Mr. Luu Van Binh's family (Tan Tien village, Tan Binh commune) is one of the chicken farming households heavily affected by storm No. 3. After the storm passed, his family quickly restored the barn and bought more chickens. Up to now, his family has more than 13,000 Tien Yen commercial chickens. Mr. Luu Van Binh said: My family is focusing on taking good care of the chickens to serve the market's demand during the Lunar New Year. It is expected to supply the market with about 25 tons of chicken with a revenue of about 3 billion VND.

After adjusting the socio-economic development scenario for the last months of 2024 to suit the actual situation, the fields of livestock, cultivation, and aquaculture of the district have been reviewed, including increasing the cultivation area and increasing the herd of livestock and poultry. The whole district of Dam Ha has released 130,000 grouper fry; maintaining the herd of livestock and poultry with about 162,000 heads. It is expected that by the end of the year, the market will be supplied with about 1,100 tons of fresh meat, over 14,000 tons of aquatic products, mollusks of all kinds, with the total revenue for the year in the field of agriculture, forestry and fishery reaching nearly 3,700 billion VND.

The district also directed specialized agencies to coordinate with local authorities to create favorable conditions to encourage production and business establishments and cooperatives to promote their strengths in processing raw materials from agricultural, forestry and aquatic products to increase the value of goods. According to Ms. Le Thi Hang Nga, Chairwoman of Khanh Dan Trading and Food Processing Cooperative, Dam Ha town (Dam Ha district): Currently, Khanh Dan Cooperative is producing and processing fish cakes and squid cakes. On average, the unit brings to the market 3-5 quintals of products to supply the market nationwide. Focusing on the year-end market, especially the Lunar New Year, the unit prepares a large reserve of raw materials and hires additional workers to work overtime to meet orders. It is expected that during Tet, on average, we will bring to the market about 6-7 quintals of products per day.

Khanh Dan Food Processing and Trading Cooperative, Dam Ha town (Dam Ha district) strives to provide enough products for year-end orders.

Mr. Tran Anh Cuong, Vice Chairman of Dam Ha District People's Committee, said: Along with focusing on production, ensuring the quantity and quality of goods, the unit is interested in supporting people to find stable output markets. The unit has completed the scenario for organizing trade fairs and spring fairs in the area according to the traditional scenario. At the same time, working with the Department of Industry and Trade to review and register for Tet fairs. In addition, the unit actively propagates and disseminates the direction of the Party Committee and authorities in production and damage recovery as well as ensuring food safety in the district during the Lunar New Year; continues to develop plans and projects, directs functional agencies to closely inspect and supervise the work of preventing trade fraud, preventing smuggled goods to maintain market stability at the end of the year.
