Tuan Giao district currently has more than 55,820 people of working age (accounting for about 60% of the total population). Because there are few companies and enterprises in the area, most of the workers are agricultural workers, with unstable incomes; during the off-season, there is no extra work to improve and increase their income. Faced with this situation, Tuan Giao district has stepped up propaganda to raise awareness, change people's thinking about vocational training and job searching. Through many effective forms of propaganda such as: Organizing conferences to consult and introduce jobs; integrating in village meetings; through social networking sites, loudspeaker systems, leaflets; coordinating with a number of companies to post information on labor recruitment in the area... People's awareness has changed significantly, workers are willing to apply to work in distant provinces if there is a suitable job and a stable source of income. At the end of July, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Tuan Giao district coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center and Techong Ngan Long Science and Technology Company Limited to provide consultation and job introduction for over 300 workers in the communes of Mun Chung, Muong Thin, Ta Ma, Pu Nhung, Pu Xi, Rang Dong, Quai Cang, and Toa Tinh. At the same time, directly recruited workers who wanted to work at the Company.
Ms. Luong Thi Nhung, Head of the Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Tuan Giao district shared: In parallel with promoting propaganda work, every year the district proactively coordinates to organize job fairs to advise and introduce to workers about the working conditions of a number of units that need to recruit workers in the area; the number, job positions, standards, and conditions for recruiting workers of companies and enterprises; salary and bonus regimes, support policies for workers... In April 2023, the district coordinated with the Provincial Employment Service Center to organize a job fair with the participation of more than 10 companies and enterprises directly consulting, introducing, and recruiting workers to work. On the other hand, the district focuses on doing a good job of labor export by organizing conferences to advise and introduce workers to work in potential markets, creating conditions for workers to borrow capital to work abroad. From 2022 to present, the whole district has 12 people exporting labor to the markets of Taiwan, Korea, and Japan.
To help people create jobs and increase their income to improve their lives, the district has proactively and effectively implemented programs and projects to support production development, diversify livelihoods and replicate poverty reduction models in the area; creating conditions for workers to borrow capital under the job creation loan program at the district Social Policy Bank to invest in livestock farming and develop production. Notably, every year the district also performs well in vocational training to improve qualifications and create jobs for rural workers; coordinates with the Vietnam Coal and Minerals College to organize recruitment, vocational training, and job placement after vocational training for rural workers in the area...
Focusing on synchronously implementing many solutions, the work of creating jobs for workers in Tuan Giao district has achieved remarkable results. From 2022 to now, the district has created new jobs for over 1,470 workers, and in the first 6 months of 2023 alone, more than 620 workers have found jobs. Currently, the total number of local workers working in companies and industrial parks outside the province is more than 10,000 people. Continuing to effectively implement the work of creating jobs for workers, Tuan Giao district will strengthen propaganda, job counseling and referrals for people; coordinate with companies and businesses to recruit local workers; effectively implement vocational training for rural workers... From there, strive to effectively achieve the goal of creating jobs for 1,000 workers in the area each year.
