Creating trust for farmers to participate in collective economy

BTO - In recent times, the development of collective economy has increasingly promoted practical effectiveness and has been enthusiastically responded to by Farmers' Associations at all levels and farmer members. A number of cooperatives (HTX) and cooperative groups (THT) have boldly organized production activities, diversified organizational forms to develop the economy and support household and collective economies, thereby actively contributing to economic restructuring and new rural construction.

In order to promote the restructuring of the province's agriculture towards concentrated, safe, sustainable and effective production, and to build and replicate agricultural production models according to value chains linking production with product consumption, the Farmers' Association at all levels has supported cooperatives, cooperative groups, branches and professional associations to promote and build brands for key local products. Through activities, a number of typical cooperatives, cooperative groups, branches and professional associations have emerged with effective operations, initially creating trust for farmers when participating in collective economic models.

Recently in September, during the working program of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union with the Provincial Farmers' Association in Binh Thuan, Ms. Bui Thi Thom - Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union visited the Hoa Le Clean Dragon Fruit Cooperative in Ham Thuan Bac district. Currently, the Hoa Le Clean Dragon Fruit Cooperative has an area of ​​more than 35 hectares of dragon fruit, of which 10 hectares are produced according to Global GAP standards, the remaining area is produced according to VietGAP standards; linking the consumption chain with cooperatives and farming households with an area of ​​about 200 hectares. Exporting to markets such as the United States, Japan... Up to now, revenue in 2024 has reached nearly 52 billion VND.

In addition, the delegation visited the green agricultural chain model of raising regional specialties combined with experiential ecotourism (Ba Tuong Farm Company) of Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam. With a total production area of ​​10 hectares, Ba Tuong Farm Company has focused on raising sand lizards, pigeons, and jungle fowls in the direction of green agriculture combined with clean food trade, experiential tourism farms, restaurants, earning about 8 billion VND annually, creating jobs for 20-30 people. At the same time, each year Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam also trains over 30 training classes and transfers techniques of raising specialties to farmers' associations in communes and districts across the country. In 2024, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam was honored to receive the title "Outstanding Vietnamese Farmer".

At the places she visited, Ms. Bui Thi Thom highly appreciated the efforts of the Farmers' Association as well as Binh Thuan farmers in developing a dynamic, effective and sustainable collective economy, attracting more and more farmers, households, individuals and organizations to participate. Contributing to improving the income and quality of life of members and households. At the same time, she hoped that in the coming time, Farmers' Associations at all levels in the province would continue to encourage the development of collective economy in the local industries and fields of strength; prioritize the construction of cooperative models associated with value chains, associated with local key products, OCOP programs... Focus on developing and providing services for cooperative members, forming a value chain from production to processing and consumption; ensuring the legitimate interests of members.
