VnExpressVnExpress30/09/2023

Creating personal advantages through additional IT learning Many young people proactively seek out online courses at FUNiX to equip themselves with technological knowledge to increase their personal advantages at the company they are working for.

Graduated in Electrical Engineering, currently working as an electrical engineer for a company in Ho Chi Minh City, Do Huu An (23 years old) wants to pursue a career in electrical engineering sales related to the IOT (Internet of Things) sector because he sees the potential of smart electrical devices.

"The electricity industry is rich, but if you want to follow IOT, only those who have a solid grasp of technology and knowledge about IOT are qualified enough to advise customers and develop a sustainable market," An shared.

Although he already had knowledge about microcontrollers, microprocessors, and embedded programming... An still registered for an advanced IOT course at FUNiX because he thought that at university, everything was just at a basic level. The young man wanted to increase his knowledge about programming, wireless communication networks, and most importantly, about coding, thereby creating a stepping stone for advancement in the industry.

"Knowledge is never redundant. The sooner you learn, accumulate knowledge and improve your skills, the more opportunities you will have for the future," An said.

Following the FUNiX roadmap, An takes advantage of studying every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evening with the main method being taking notes, carefully watching videos, and coding lessons. For parts that he doesn't understand, An will first proactively research on the Internet. If he still doesn't have the answer, he will ask for help from mentors and Hannah. The young man believes that after completing the course, he will have more knowledge to conquer the field of smart electrical equipment.

Many people think that transferring horizontally from non-IT majors is difficult, because it requires a lot of basic knowledge of information technology and a lot of complex thinking. But according to An, FUNiX has proven that anyone can study information technology through 1:1 professional support from a team of experts working in the software industry (mentors) and personal learning support staff (hannah). In addition, students are also provided with premium ChatGPT accounts; equipped with AI audio filtering applications; learning materials including MOOC resources from universities, Discord Q&A system... to support learning.

This is also the reason why Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quy (Thai Nguyen) decided to become one of more than 30,000 students of FUNiX. Quy graduated from banking and has many years of experience in finance, fund management, and investment consulting. The job brings in a good income, but he realized that if he had analytical skills and mastered data, he could go further. Due to the nature of his job as a consultant for customers, he relies on a third party or another department in the company to synthesize and analyze data.

After two months of studying Data Analysis online to improve his data analysis skills for work in finance, investment and business, he has improved his knowledge of analytical thinking and trained his data analysis skills through Excel. In addition, he has also had access to powerful support tools for these skills such as PowerBI and SQL. Currently, Mr. Quy is proficient in Excel, knows how to get data from many sources and process it. According to him, this course is useful for anyone, in any field when technology and data affect every aspect of life.

With the advantage of online learning, no matter how busy, managers, employees or students... can all participate in IT courses at FUNiX. With a team of dedicated hannah and mentors, students are supported 1-1 and study according to a personalized roadmap, helping to optimize learning outcomes.

"What I like most at FUNiX is connecting with mentors," said Nguyen Anh Tuan (Hanoi). Having an IT Business degree and 15 years of working abroad, now returning home to develop his family business, Anh Tuan chose the Business Analysis course at FUNiX to improve his lacking skills.

Tuan is in charge of the position of Business Development in the field of business processes and management systems at Thang Loi Logistics. He wants to gain experience in guiding and explaining to company members about how to operate the system, the needs and working processes of each department, and at the same time, to gain a deeper understanding of the Business Analysis situation in Vietnam, improve programming skills and build management systems related to BA.

After nearly 5 months of studying at FUNiX, Tuan himself noticed an improvement in the way he organized projects and worked with stakeholders, becoming more professional when making requests, collecting information, presenting problem analysis to management, to the IT team... According to him, the glossary of specialized terms provided by FUNiX is a useful tool, the large exercises are challenging, time-consuming but close to the company's real problems.

Not only IOT, Business Analysis, Data Analysis courses, FUNiX also offers many IT courses such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Blockchain Developer, Data Engineering, Cloud Computing, etc. to help learners equip themselves with new technological knowledge.

In addition, FUNiX currently has more than 100 information technology enterprises as training and recruitment partners, participating in the career orientation process and supporting internships to help students who do not follow a formal university program still have the opportunity to access a real working environment.

Mr. Hoang Viet Thang, Director of the Digital Resource Supply Center representing FUNiX, said that Vietnam is moving towards the 4.0 industrial revolution, so equipping technology knowledge is important, helping each person increase job opportunities and competitiveness. Not to mention, technology changes and develops every day, if you are not quick to update, you will become outdated.

The World Economic Forum’s Future of Jobs 2023 report, released at the end of April, outlines the macro trends and technological changes that will affect jobs and skills over the next five years. Across 45 economies, covering 673 million workers, 69 million new jobs are expected to be created and 83 million jobs will be eliminated, a reduction of 14 million, or 2%, of current employment. Technology will create structural disruption, with a quarter of companies reducing employment due to the adoption of new technology and more than half of companies increasing employment. Accordingly, upgrading your technological knowledge is the way to adapt to the future and not be left behind.

"I believe that when you really study and work, the job opportunities will be huge," Mr. Hoang Viet Thang added.
