The price of SJC gold was listed by Saigon Jewelry Company (SJC) at 85 - 87 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling compared to yesterday's closing price. The difference between the buying price and selling price is 2.0 million VND.
This price was also traded by DOJI, Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited and Bao Tin Manh Hai at the same time at 85 - 87 million VND/tael (buying - selling), an increase of 400,000 VND/tael in both buying and selling directions compared to yesterday.
At Mi Hong Jewelry Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey was listed at 85.7-86.7 million VND/tael for buying and selling. Compared to yesterday, the buying price decreased by 300,000 VND/tael and the selling price increased by 400,000 VND/tael. The difference between the buying price and the selling price is 1.0 million VND.
The group of state-owned joint stock commercial banks (Vietcombank, Vietinbank, Agribank, BIDV) listed the price of SJC gold bars at VND87.0 million/tael, an increase of VND400,000/tael.
The strong upward trend also occurred with the price of gold rings. Specifically, SJC increased the price of 99.99 gold rings of type 1-5 by only 300,000 VND for buying and 400,000 VND for selling, currently listed at 84.8 - 86.5 million VND/tael.
The price of Phu Quy gold rings increased by half a million dong this morning. After the adjustment, the transaction price here is at 85.1 - 86.6 million/tael.
Bao Tin Minh Chau listed the price of gold rings at 85.45-86.95 million VND/tael (buy - sell), an increase of 950,000 VND/tael for buying and 600,000 VND/tael for selling compared to early this morning.
Mi Hong traded 999 gold rings at 85.5 - 86.5 million/tael, an increase of 300,000 VND.
PNJ is the company that made the strongest adjustment to the price of gold rings this morning, with an increase of 400,000 - 600,000 VND in both buying and selling directions, currently hovering around 85.2 - 87 million VND/tael. This is also the company with the highest selling price of gold rings in the market this morning.

World gold prices increased as the USD tended to decrease. After several sessions of decline, last night the gold price recorded an impressive increase, approaching the threshold of 2,700 USD/ounce. Gold prices increased sharply due to receiving momentum after the new US inflation report showed that the increase was not too hot.
On the other hand, world gold prices increased significantly in the ongoing trading session after the US announced the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for December 2024. Accordingly, the core CPI (excluding volatile food and gas costs) in December last year in the US increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month, slowing down compared to the 0.3% increase in November of the same year.
On a year-on-year basis, the world's largest economy's CPI rose 3.2% year-on-year in 2023. Previously, the US core CPI had maintained an annual increase of 3.3% in the previous four months.
CPI is an important indicator that the US Federal Reserve (Fed) often relies on to adjust monetary policy. As expected, the regular meeting to consider deciding the next Fed interest rate will take place later this month.
