Industrial production customers with output from 1 million kWh/year participating in the DR load adjustment program in 2024 are 43/43 customers, reaching 100%, committed to shifting the load out of the peak hours of the Northern power system, from May to July (time frame from 12:00 to 15:00 and 21:00 to 24:00).
As a supplier of export shoes, Ms. Liu Ting Mei, Director of Chung Jye Tuyen Quang Shoe Manufacturing Co., Ltd., Yen Son Branch, said: The company currently has over 1,500 employees, using thousands of industrial sewing machines, steam irons, along with many light bulbs and ventilation fans, consuming a large amount of electricity. When coordinating DR load adjustment with the electricity industry, the company will arrange for workers to work more or less shifts at appropriate times; require all departments and branches to strictly follow the regulations to cut down on unnecessary electrical equipment. Thereby, it helps to operate safely and save money for the company.
Also participating in the DR load adjustment program, Tan Quang Cement Joint Stock Company has also seriously implemented load adjustment to save electricity. Mr. Nguyen Trong Du, Deputy Director of Tan Quang Cement Joint Stock Company, said that in order to use electricity economically and effectively, the company also installed frequency converters in some locations to monitor output and increase air conditioning temperature to a reasonable level. The company also issued regulations on practicing electricity saving for all workers and laborers, such as requiring workers to turn off fans and electricity when not in production locations, and avoid idling equipment, etc.
To increase the stability of the power system, adjusting the electricity load plays an important role. Therefore, power companies in general and Tuyen Quang Power Company in particular not only encourage business customers to participate in the program but also widely promote it to individual customers using electricity for daily life.

Looking at the electricity consumption chart, her family has reduced their electricity usage, thanks to which, during this year's hot season, Tham's family's electricity consumption has decreased compared to the same period last year. Before, when they did not know about the program, the family had to pay from 1.7 to 1.9 million VND for electricity each month, but now, the family's electricity bill has decreased to about 1.5 million VND/month.
Mr. Tran Xuan Hao, Deputy Director of Tuyen Quang Power Company, said that according to forecasts, weather developments are increasingly unpredictable and have many unusual and extreme developments. Therefore, Tuyen Quang Power Company recommends that agencies, businesses, and all people in the area continue to use electricity safely, economically, and effectively.
Limit the simultaneous use of high-capacity electrical equipment such as: Air conditioners, electric stoves, water heaters, pumps... during peak hours from 11am - 2pm and 6pm - 10pm. In particular, when using air conditioners, customers should note to set them in optimal mode with a temperature of 260C or higher. In addition, the Company will continue to work with major customers in the area to arrange production reasonably, adjust production hours during off-peak hours to both ensure electricity savings for customers and reduce the risk of local grid overload as well as limit the situation of sudden increases in electricity bills during the hot season.
Along with the strong efforts of the electricity industry, the economical and efficient use of electricity by customers will be one of the important solutions to help prevent overload and reduce the "heat" of the power grid system.
