On May 30, news from the Market Management Department of Dong Nai province said that it was temporarily holding more than 33,000 textbooks to verify signs of counterfeit labels of the Vietnam Education Publishing House.
Previously, Market Management Team No. 1 (Dong Nai Province Market Management Department) coordinated with Nhon Trach District Police to conduct a surprise inspection of TT Private Enterprise (My Khoan Quarter, Hiep Phuoc Town) owned by Mr. NTT.
Upon inspection, the authorities discovered a set of 33,809 textbooks of various types. The total value of the goods according to the listed selling price was approximately 600 million VND.
On the cover of the above textbooks is the logo "GD", the name of Vietnam Education Publishing House, an anti-counterfeit stamp, showing signs of counterfeiting books of Vietnam Education Publishing House.
At the time of inspection, the business owner could not present invoices and documents for all of the above goods.
The authorities have temporarily detained all the textbooks and sent them to the Dong Nai Province Market Management Department. At the same time, they invited representatives of the Vietnam Education Publishing House to appraise them.
Initial inspection showed that the above goods had signs of counterfeiting and were counterfeited with very sophisticated tricks.
"The authorities are continuing to examine and verify all of the textbooks before deciding on how to handle them according to regulations," said a member of the inspection team.
