Many ships and ferries to tourist destinations in Kien Giang had to temporarily stop due to bad weather.
The ferry routes that had to be temporarily suspended due to bad weather were the routes to Rach Gia - Nam Du - Phu Quoc, Ha Tien - Phu Quoc and vice versa.
Shipping and ferry companies have also proactively implemented procedures to change or refund tickets according to customer requests. At the same time, they will notify customers as soon as possible when ships and ferries are allowed to operate again.
Tourists can come to Kien Giang for sightseeing and tourism by inland waterways near the shore.
Mr. Truong Ngoc Phuoc, Director of Kien Giang Inland Waterways Port Authority, informed that for inland waterway routes near the shore such as Rach Gia - Hon Tre, Rach Gia - Lai Son, Ha Tien - Tien Hai, Kien Luong - Hon Nghe and other near-shore routes, ships and ferries are allowed to operate normally.
According to the weather forecast for the morning of the same day, in the Southern region, on the sea of Kien Giang, from Phu Quoc to Ca Mau and the Gulf of Thailand, there will be strong southwest monsoon winds blowing at level 5, level 6, gusting to level 7, level 8 combined with heavy rain creating waves 1.5-2m high.
