India The ice replica of the Taj Mahal attracts a large number of tourists to the Gulmarg region to admire and take pictures.

In mid-March, an ice sculpture replica of one of the seven wonders of the world, the Taj Mahal, appeared in the tourist resort of Gulmarg, located between Jammu and Kashmir. Three sculptors worked together to create this work in 16 days, braving sub-freezing temperatures and harsh winters.

The snow replica of the Taj Mahal is 6 meters high and 10 meters wide and can accommodate at least 10-15 people inside at a time. Zubair Ahmed, one of the three sculptors, said it took a lot of effort to complete the work. "In the first 5-6 days, we had to hire 15-16 workers. Then the three of us took over and completed the work in 16 days," said Zubair.

At the time of construction, there was up to 3 feet of snow. "We had to cross the snow to get here and work in freezing temperatures," Zubair said, adding that other than snow, no other materials were used to create the sculpture.

The lifespan of the Taj Mahal replica made of ice and snow is 20 days. Now, the sculpture has become a new "hot spot", attracting tourists and locals to come and take pictures.

A tourist from Jharkhand state commented that the work was "amazing and mesmerizing" and said the beauty of Kashmir was enhanced by the snow sculptures. "This is the first time I have seen the Taj Mahal made of snow, it looks so beautiful and fascinating," he said.

"I urge everyone to come and experience the grandeur and beauty of this place. The sculptors have taken great pains to present 'Amazing India' here. You will be mesmerized by it," said Rahul, a tourist.

Gulmarg is on the top list of destinations for tourists and snow lovers in Kashmir, which witnessed a huge influx of visitors to admire the snow-capped mountains and glaciers during the past winter.
