ANTD.VN - In the spring of 987, King Le Dai Hanh opened the Tich Dien Festival to pray for a good harvest at the foot of Doi Mountain (Duy Tien, Ha Nam). More than a millennium later, in this land, another opening also began: honoring and enriching cultural resources at the "museum" of the festival park of nearly 9 hectares in the heart of the resort city Sun Urban City, Phu Ly.

"Museum" of Doi Mountain and Chau River culture
If the Tich Dien Festival in Ha Nam with the story of King Le sending people to bury gold and silver scattered in areas that needed to be cleared, to encourage people to reclaim land and take care of agricultural production, it created the foundation of prosperity and happiness for Dai Co Viet. Then more than 1,000 years later, those folk stories and festivals have become a solid "root" for domestic and foreign architects of EGO, EDSA and Sun Group to join hands to enrich the cultural "assets" of the Doi mountain and Chau river land in the resort city of Sun Urban City, Phu Ly with a Festival Park of nearly 9 hectares.

Coming to the Festival Park, one of the five parks in the metropolis, residents and visitors feel like they are lost in a large-scale "cultural festival" where the festival boulevard is 1.5km long and 150m wide, or the iconic Doi Tam and Long Vu squares, the lush green Ngu Uyen garden... leading to cultural touchpoints.
In particular, if the ancient King Le canal played a role in developing agriculture and promoting waterway traffic, then in the future, at Sun Urban City, a 50m wide King Le canal running along the festival avenue will be full of vibrant commercial vitality and fertile "cultural alluvium". The starting point of the canal "hiding 1001 interesting historical lessons" about the land of Ha Nam will be Long Kieu bridge - simulating the image of the Dragon on the King's royal robe, reminding of the noble origin of the Dragon and Fairy's descendants.
Every night, from Long Kieu Bridge, King Le Canal is transformed into the pinnacle "stage" of the world's leading spectacular water music show with a length of 1.6km, 5,280 nozzles, more than 3,100 LED lights, the highest water column is up to 80m. The dragon breathes fire, the water flows with the rhythm of sound and light, creating a sumptuous artistic feast, breathing life and realizing the desire for prosperity and happiness.
“We compare the journey to experience the Festival Park to an exploration of cultural treasures. There, unique landscape highlights will hold pedestrians to explore the thousand-year history of the nation. Each paint color, brick, bridge, gate or hut… has its own story to show off the quintessence and honor the depth of national culture.” – Sun Group representative emphasized.
“Live brightly” in cultural and festive spaces
True to the spirit of “building bridges” between generations and bringing culture into life of Sun Group and the world’s leading partners, Festival Park is a place to live – relax – entertain and experience countless landscape amenities and services imbued with “Vietnamese DNA”.
Coming to Sun Urban City, walking along the King Le canal, residents can see the elaborately carved Golden Buffalo Kim Tien, "proudly" standing tall. Next to it is the Kim Long bridge, in the distance is the Kim Tien bridge telling the story of the purple umbrella, the king's golden parasol and the gold and silver pots hidden under the old rice fields... On the other side of the canal, the Vuong Phuc Gallery simulates the dragon robe and is the place to display Nha Xa silk - a cultural heritage of Ha Nam.
Indispensable in every festival is the bustling, heroic sound of drums. Therefore, in the center of the Festival Park, the architects chose to recreate the symbol of Doi Tam drum. The drum is over 30m high, 20m in diameter, standing tall, with the water music "resonating" with proud sounds. This is the square area - where activities, events, exhibitions take place, attracting residents and tourists. A few steps away, Long Vu water square is inspired by the graceful dragon dance, bringing exciting interactive moments of fun for children, a vibrant meeting place.

After a journey of cultural discovery, residents and visitors can relax and explore the green space of the Royal Garden, the Bell Gate - Lotus Pond area or relax at the Ngu Vo Cafe floating on the water. The cafe simulates the image of a fishing net, evoking the simple, peaceful beauty of the hometown river wharf. Not far away is Le Cafe, recreating the space of the banyan tree, the wharf, the communal house yard, the restaurant, and the Thuong Quan Cafe inspired by the Tran Thuong Temple - a unique local culinary space.
In the near future, both sides of the Vua Le canal will be a bustling shopping - entertainment - commercial avenue with rows of Kim Ngan - Kim Tien townhouses honoring artistic and aesthetic values, embracing the vibrant vitality of the festival axis day and night.

“With highlights such as the Festival Park or 1001 other amenities... we not only aim to enrich the living experience but also want to enrich the spiritual life of future residents with national cultural materials. Sun Urban City will be a resort city that both honors cultural values and is imbued with unique humanity” – the project’s chief architect shared.
