Early completion and putting into use of sand dams

TTH.VN - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh inspected the progress of two sand-blocking and wave-reducing dikes in the North and South of the Tu Hien Fishing Port component project combined with the storm shelter anchorage area.

Through the actual inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts of the investors and construction units who have actively implemented the items to ensure progress. The Northern sand-prevention and wave-reduction dike has completed the concrete pile driving and is focusing on pouring rubble, installing the dike toe structure, and reinforced concrete for the pile-head beams. For the Southern sand-prevention and wave-reduction dike, the piles at the dike tip have been completed, and the items of pouring rubble, installing the dike toe structure, reinforced concrete for the pile-head beams, pouring dike core stone, and reinforced concrete for the cross beams and dike surface are being implemented.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh requested construction units to take advantage of favorable weather to urgently implement the remaining construction items, focus on human resources, and increase construction machinery to quickly speed up progress and complete the items before the rainy and stormy season.

Along with ensuring progress, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh requested relevant responsible units to regularly strengthen supervision of the construction process, "not to let time limit affect the quality of the project".

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Hai Minh said that the situation of coastal erosion and erosion in the province has been very complicated recently due to the impact of natural disasters. The province has implemented many measures, of which the construction of anti-erosion embankments is one of the solutions that has been and is being implemented, bringing high efficiency. The early completion and use of sand-blocking and wave-reducing dykes will contribute to preventing erosion, protecting production, and stabilizing people's lives.
