The team of Hanoi University of Technology in a match at the Northern qualifying round of Robocon Vietnam 2023.

In preparation for the 2023 Vietnam Robocon competition, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering - Hanoi Polytechnic College of Technology organized a preliminary round from October 2022 with more than 30 registered teams. The preliminary round featured professional, beautiful, impressive, and intense competitions. It is known that, to ensure the best facilities, the school's Board of Directors built a gymnasium exclusively for students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in the school. After the preliminary round, the school established 3 teams named HPC 1, 2, 3 to participate in the qualifying round of the Northern region of Robocon Vietnam 2023 (April 2023). All 3 teams excellently entered the qualifying round 2 of the Northern region and scored at least one goal in the matches. Although they were not lucky enough to win a ticket to the final round of the Northern region, this is still a remarkable achievement for a team competing for the first time at the Robocon playground.

To be able to confidently compete with other teams, students from Hanoi Polytechnic College of Technology participating in the competition had to work hard day and night to create robots for many months with many difficulties. In their first time participating in this arena, facing many surprises, the Hanoi Polytechnic College of Technology teams were helped by teachers to come up with detailed ideas to achieve the highest results.

The Hanoi University of Technology team received enthusiastic cheers from the audience.

The members participating in Robocon 2023 of Hanoi Polytechnic College of Technology affirmed that this is an opportunity to apply the specialized knowledge learned; to have more contact with reality, to get used to the pressure of results and time, discipline, sense of responsibility, teamwork skills, communication skills, etc. Competing for the first time with students in Hanoi, in a large playground of intelligence, technology and engineering with such achievements is wonderful and proud. This is an effort to surpass themselves of the students of Hanoi Polytechnic College of Technology.

Mr. Dinh Quang Hiep, the instructor, shared: “Through this competition, I believe that I have inspired all students in the Faculty of Electrical Engineering in particular and Hanoi Polytechnic College in general about enthusiasm, passion, exploration, creativity in learning and research, promoting creative thinking in science and technology, and skills to approach the Fourth Industrial Revolution for the young generation”.

The Hanoi Polytechnic College team showed determination when entering the second qualifying round of the Northern region.

In fact, many students studying at vocational training institutions have matured in awareness and improved their professional skills after leaving this playground. Many students who were once bewildered in controlling rudimentary robots on the playground are now managers, scientists, and entrepreneurs in many fields of science, technology, robotics, and automation, continuing to contribute to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country.

Through this activity, it can be seen that Hanoi Polytechnic College in particular, along with the system of vocational education units in recent years, has been promoting solutions to promote scientific and technological research and innovation among students. Schools are interested in devoting many funding sources to support activities; investing in facilities and organizing scientific research and experience activities to create conditions for students to be exposed to extracurricular activities to supplement skills... Participating in these activities, students are flexibly integrating the theory they have learned into practice, unleashing their creativity. At the same time, this is an opportunity for students to get acquainted with the real production environment, creating favorable conditions for future work.
