Vietnam Dairy Products Joint Stock Company (Vinamilk) has just signed a memorandum of understanding with two leading enterprises in the field of importing and distributing milk and agricultural products in China, bringing Vinamilk yogurt products to this billion-people market.

The signing ceremony and exchange of the memorandum of understanding took place under the witness of the top leaders of Hanoi and Guangzhou (China) within the framework of the Hanoi City Investment - Trade - Tourism Promotion Conference in China.

According to the memorandum of understanding, Vinamilk will produce and export yogurt products with the types and quality agreed upon by the parties. The list of cooperative products will be carefully researched and developed to bring products that meet the increasingly demanding needs and tastes of the Chinese market.

The two Chinese partners are responsible for importing, building and developing the distribution system; registering products for circulation according to the law to distribute Vinamilk products in this market. At the same time, the enterprise will also coordinate with Vinamilk to implement trade promotion programs according to the agreement between the parties at each time.

Sharing the reason for choosing Vinamilk as a partner to supply yogurt products in Vietnam, Mr. Ye Can Jiang - Chairman of the Board of Directors and General Director of Guangzhou Jiangnan Fruit and Vegetable Wholesale Market Management Co., Ltd. - said: “Yogurt is an essential nutritional product for Chinese consumers. Previously, many people in our country used and loved Vinamilk yogurt products when traveling to Vietnam or were brought to China by some traders through unofficial channels. Therefore, since the protocol paving the way for the export of Vietnamese dairy products to China was signed, I have always wanted to have the opportunity to cooperate with Vinamilk to import yogurt products of this brand through official channels.”

This is the largest wholesale market management company in Guangdong province, specializing in distributing agricultural food products throughout China. Meanwhile, the other partner is an importer and distributor of food products, knowledgeable about the market and tastes of Chinese consumers.

This is also the distributor that has helped Vinamilk's Ông Thọ condensed milk product become familiar to many Chinese consumers, present in restaurant chains, milk tea shops, coffee shops or in the kitchens of many families.

According to Mr. Vo Trung Hieu - International Business Director of Vinamilk - yogurt is a product that requires strict storage conditions: maintaining the ideal temperature at 6-8 degrees Celsius, short shelf life... "Through this cooperation with 2 businesses with many years of experience and a wide distribution system in China, we can minimize the time to bring products from the factory to consumers, in the most ideal storage conditions. I believe that Vinamilk's yogurt products will quickly reach consumers in the world's most populous market and be positively received", Mr. Hieu shared.

With a population of about 1.4 billion people, China is the world's largest importer of dairy products, with an import turnover of more than 10 billion USD/year. Yogurt is one of the fastest growing products in the Chinese dairy industry, with a compound annual growth rate of about 15% in revenue during the period 2023 - 2029 and expected to reach more than 73 billion USD in 2029, according to Mordor Intelligence forecast.

Quality products help conquer and expand export markets

Before officially signing the memorandum of understanding, the leaders of the two Chinese partners also visited and learned about Vinamilk's farm and factory in Vietnam. After directly visiting and trying the durian yogurt product that Vinamilk is researching and producing for the Chinese market; representatives of the two units highly appreciated and expressed their trust in Vinamilk.

“The production process is a prerequisite for product quality and safety. After visiting Vinamilk's factory, I feel completely assured because the advanced production line system meets high international standards, ensuring quality requirements for the final product. As the head of the largest wholesale market management company in Guangdong province, I have tasted many durian-flavored products such as durian cake, durian ice cream, and even durian coffee. When tasting Vinamilk's durian yogurt, I can feel the strong aroma and am very confident in bringing this product to Chinese consumers,” Mr. Ye Can Jiang excitedly shared.

Sharing this view, Mr. Zou Li Qiang - Chairman of the Board of Directors of Changsha Yiyiyuan Dairy Company Limited, who has 20 years of experience investing in Vietnam, said that Vinamilk completely meets the strict requirements of Chinese consumers for food products, especially dairy products.

Mr. Zou Li Qiang affirmed: “Vinamilk is a big brand in Vietnam and its products have stable quality. During the recent distribution of Ông Thọ condensed milk products in China, I also received strong support from Vinamilk's sales team. Therefore, in the coming time, I am very confident in bringing Vinamilk's products to China as well as introducing more major partners to Vinamilk.”

Yogurt is one of Vinamilk's key products, produced on a closed technological line according to the ISO 9001:2015 International Quality Management System & meeting FSSC 22000 standards. Vinamilk yogurt products are heat-treated to sterilize and eliminate bacteria and retain nutrients; applying natural fermentation technology, no preservatives are used and each production stage ensures safety and hygiene. In addition to traditional yogurt products, Vinamilk continuously launches many quality products, combined with natural health-beneficial ingredients such as aloe vera, pomegranate, strawberry, collagen... Thanks to that, the products quickly dominate the domestic market, helping Vinamilk become the leading producer of yogurt in the domestic market share.

Currently, Vinamilk has exported a variety of products to nearly 60 countries and territories around the world such as: Dielac milk powder, baby food powder, live yogurt drink, fruit juice, various nut milks...
