This morning, Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council opened the 17th Session.

The 17th session of the 18th Ha Tinh Provincial People's Council will take place over 3 days with many important contents to be considered, evaluated, resolved and issued.

On the morning of December 6, the 18th term People's Council of Ha Tinh province opened the 17th session (the last session of 2023).

During the 3-day session (December 6-8), the Provincial People's Council reviewed and evaluated the implementation of socio-economic development tasks in 2023; discussed and agreed on directions and tasks and set targets and plans for 2024.

At the year-end session, the Provincial People's Council delegates will also listen to and give opinions on reports of the Provincial People's Committee such as: revenue and expenditure budget in 2023 and decision on revenue and expenditure budget estimates in 2024; implementation of public investment in 2023 and tasks and solutions in 2024; implementation of civil servant payroll in administrative agencies, number of employees in public service units, association organizations in 2023 and payroll plan in 2024; respond to voters' opinions and recommendations sent to the 17th Session.

The provincial People's Council committees will also have 3 inspection reports on the fields of economy - budget, culture - society, and law; the provincial People's Council reports on the results of thematic supervision of administrative reform work in the period of 2020 - 2023; the provincial Fatherland Front Committee reports on the results of the implementation of the task of participating in supervision and government building in 2023; the provincial National Assembly Delegation reports on the results of the 6th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council will also study and give opinions on the following proposals: collection rates, units for calculating environmental protection fees for mineral exploitation; support policies for resettlement of residents in disaster-hit, particularly difficult, and border areas; support levels, budget expenditure norms, procedures, criteria for selecting options and production development plans under the National Target Program for the period 2023 - 2025; support for logistics and export development; support for training Lao students studying abroad; support policies for community digital transformation teams; list of works and projects requiring land acquisition, conversion of land use purposes for rice cultivation, protective forests and special-use forests, and many other important proposals.

At the session, the Provincial People's Council will conduct a vote of confidence for those holding positions elected or approved by the Provincial People's Council; discuss in the hall the contents of the session; spend 1.5 days questioning and answering questions on issues of mutual concern to delegates and voters; and is expected to issue 20 important resolutions...
