The Vietnamese disabled sports delegation won 8 more gold medals on the morning of the second official competition day at the 12th ASEAN Para Games (held in Cambodia).

Specifically, on the morning of June 5, the Vietnamese swimming team's athletes competed impressively to win 6 more gold medals.
Danh Hoa successfully "opened" with a double gold medal in the men's 200m freestyle S4 and men's 50m breaststroke SB3 events.
Following Danh Hoa, swimmers Do Thanh Hai, Vo Huynh Anh Khoa, Nguyen Hoang Nha and Vo Thanh Tung also crossed the finish line first to help the Vietnamese team "reap gold".
Along with the swimming team, the athletics team also won 2 more gold medals on the morning of June 5, thanks to Nguyen Thi Hai (javelin throw) and Ngo Thi Lan Thanh (javelin throw).
With this achievement, the Vietnamese disabled sports delegation won 26 gold medals, 21 silver medals and 29 bronze medals, ranking second in the overall medal tally of the 12th Para Games.
The Indonesian Paralympic delegation is still leading the overall rankings with 39 gold medals, 33 silver medals and 27 bronze medals.
The Thai sports delegation is currently ranked 3rd with 22 gold medals, but is being closely followed by the Malaysian delegation with 3 fewer gold medals.
The next positions on the overall ranking belong to the Philippines, Myanmar, Singapore, Cambodia, Timor Leste, Laos and Brunei respectively.
