In July 2024, the power system load continued to increase. To meet the mobilization needs of the national power system, EVNGENCO1 effectively implemented the work of supplying fuel for operation and maintaining reserves according to regulations.

Increase hydropower exploitation

In addition, the water frequency in most of the hydroelectric reservoirs of the Electricity Generation Corporation 1 (EVNGENCO1) is quite good. EVNGENCO1 has also closely coordinated with the National Power System Control Center to increase the exploitation of hydroelectric reservoirs to increase flood prevention capacity.

As a result, in July 2024, EVNGENCO1's electricity output exceeded the assigned plan by 2.5 billion kWh, reaching 108.3% of the plan.

In terms of investment, the Corporation is implementing projects according to the assigned schedule. By the end of July, the construction investment implementation volume reached 68.5% and the disbursement value reached 68.4% of the 2024 plan assigned by EVN (including the disbursement value for the implementation value of previous years).

To proactively prevent, respond promptly and effectively, and minimize damage caused by natural disasters during the rainy and stormy season, EVNGENCO1 has promptly directed units to prepare and effectively implement natural disaster prevention and control work, overcome the consequences of floods and storms, and ensure safe power supply to serve people's needs.

In addition, digital transformation and information technology continue to be actively implemented by EVNGENCO1 with the goal of becoming a digital enterprise by 2025. Environmental protection is focused on and many strict and effective measures are implemented.

In July, on the occasion of the 77th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2024), the Corporation and its units implemented many social security programs to honor families with meritorious services to the revolution in localities where the units are located, ensuring timely and appropriate support for the right subjects. The activity of supporting the construction of houses for families in difficult circumstances continued to be implemented by EVNGENCO1 and its units with 02 houses for 02 poor households in Dak Plao commune ( Dak Nong province) being inaugurated and handed over.

Ensuring safe power supply during storm season

In August, EVNGENCO1 will focus highly on the goal of completing the assigned electricity output of 2.321 billion kWh.

Specifically, the thermal power block maintains continuous operation of generators, implementing tasks in the program to improve reliability and operation in the 2024 - 2025 period in accordance with EVN's direction.

Unit H1, Song Tranh 2 Hydropower Plant is undergoing a 30-day overhaul (from July 11, 2024 to August 9, 2024) to continue generating electricity reliably and safely.

The hydropower block ensures close coordination with relevant agencies to play a good role in flood control and reservoir operation to ensure safety for the project and downstream areas; at the same time, increase power generation to create flood capacity before the 2024 flood season. Maintenance and repair work continues to be carried out as planned.

In addition, EVNGENCO1 continues to direct units to prepare and carry out well the work of natural disaster prevention and search and rescue, ensuring safe power supply to serve people's needs.

Construction investment, digital transformation and other works will still be implemented by EVNGENCO1 according to plan, maintaining sustainable and stable production activities throughout the Corporation.
