In response to parents’ concerns, in the latest announcement, Marie Curie School admitted that there were errors in the Math exam. Specifically, the error was in question 11 of question 121 and question 39 of question 122.

Both of these sentences have the following content: " A rectangular box has a length 1.5 times its width. Knowing that the width increases by 1.2dm and the length increases by 1.5 times, then the perimeter of the box increases by 3.3dm. Calculate the area of the original rectangle ."

There are 4 answers for students to choose from: A.3,375dm²; B.2,25dm²; C.1,5dm²; D.2,4dm². However, none of the 4 answers given in the exam are correct and the school said it was due to a printing error.

The representative of Marie Curie school also said that the correct exam question is as follows: " Knowing that the width increases by 1.2dm and the length increases by 1.2 times, then the perimeter of that shape increases by 3.3dm ". Thus, the answer will be A.3.375dm².

After reporting the error in the exam, Marie Curie School proposed a solution to fix the error by giving all students 0.25 points for the wrong question.

In response to this unfortunate incident, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Khang - Chairman of the Examination Council, also apologized to students and parents: "There is no perfect way to fix the error. The school sincerely apologizes to students and parents for the above unfortunate mistake."

It is known that this year, there are two standard scores applied to the two campuses My Dinh and Van Phu. Specifically, at the My Dinh campus, the standard score is 14.5; the alternate score is 14. At the Van Phu campus, the standard score is 11; the alternate score is 10.5.

Candidates who take the exam at My Dinh campus and score 13 points or higher will be admitted to Van Phu campus. Previously, according to the school's announcement, in the 2023-2024 school year, the school will enroll 180 first graders, 360 sixth graders and 320 10th graders at My Dinh campus (Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi).

At Kien Hung campus (Ha Dong), the school takes 180 first graders; Van Phu campus takes 360 sixth graders and 360 tenth graders.

For grade 6, the school gives priority to direct admission to grade 5 students studying at Marie Curie. Students from other schools will take a test to assess their Math and English proficiency.
